Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Roswell

Was touring the city of Roswell the other evening and decided to stop by this place for something sweet. Very peculiar Sonic joint, as this one doesn't feature any signature outdoor ordering parking spaces. Instead, you walk inside and order at the counter; as is normally done at any other fast-food chain. The unorthodox set-up for this Roswell Sonic wasn't something I would count as going against it. In fact, it was kinda neat being able to go inside and being allowed to say that we've been inside a Sonic restaurant. However, our brief pit-stop would feature two problems that would somewhat dampen our experience at this most unique walk-in fast-food spot. This is primarily due to two things: the heavy presence of flies in the restaurant and the malfunctioning ice-cream machine. The former is often difficult to control, but when the presence of flies becomes so heavily apparent, it leaves you wondering about the sanitary conditions of the food being prepared in the kitchen. The latter problem proved to be unique only to us. To satisfy our sweet tooth, we both decided to order a simple vanilla ice-creme cone. However, only one of us got to enjoy one as the ice-creme machine broke immediately after the employee was done making the first cone. Nobody working behind the counter seemed to know how and why the machine had so suddenly malfunctioned. Placed a pickup order through the app, checked in and waited for almost 25 min for my food. Got fed up no one was coming outside with my food while watching others get theirs. My food and drink had been sitting up in the counter for what I would assume was the entire time I was in the pick up spot due to my drink being watered down by the time I got to it. Also when the store is charging 30 cents a packet for condiments I would hope that the workers on site would be able to read and see that the condiments are on the order. Goodbye to the 2-3 dollars I spent on condiments. This entire town has been absolutely horrid as far as food quality and time to get the food out. Restroom was absolutely disgusting, toilets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in several days, and it smelled awful. Young man at the counter got my drink and food order wrong, had a horrible attitude, rolled his eyes when I corrected my order, and took his sweet time.it took almost 20 minutes to wait for a slushi, mozzarella sticks, and a corn dog. I couldn’t even drink the slushi, it tasted like rusted metal and cleaning agent, was almost completely watery, was not any sort of frozen what so ever, the rest of the store was just as disgusting as the restroom, tables and floors were dirty and gunky, and had an odd smell, the kitchen was visibly a nasty mess with trash everywhere.
