Well, I have always been a fan of Texas Roadhouse until tonight. I would not recommend this location or if you are looking for a familiar experience. While I give big allowances for service in today's environment, I can't give a pass on our experience. Service was not on par with even lowered expectations and the restaurant was busy but appeared to have a full complement of staff. Our service had little personal touch or care. We waited on rolls until after our dinner was served after asking multiple times for them and were given many excuses. My main issue is we ordered the combo appetizer with the Buffalo chicken bites, rattle snake bites, and fried pickles. The appetizer in general was OK but after I had eaten all but one of the Buffalo chickens the last piece I found to my disdain was raw and not cooked, not undercooked just sauced and put with the rest on my plate. The food manager Hunter spoke to us and said she would document the issue and let the kitchen know. I let her know that if I got sick then this is where it came from. We did not get any apology and frankly considered leaving at this point. We got our food, me the New York steak medium rare and my wife the ribs. The steak was decent and ribs ok. Our server dropped our ticket off not long after we received our main course and we were still charged full price for the appetizer. We caught our server later and told her I was not going to pay for the appetizer. She stated she would get the manager again. The manager took the appetizer off and the waiter dropped off the adjusted ticket no apology or check from the manager. Given that this was a food safety issue, I am very concerned about this and we got a very flippant response and less than stellar service. I like Texas Roadhouse but not this location and do not recommend it.

Well, so wanted to love this place. I have eaten at several across Texas and Utah. However, nice, but nothing to write home about. The decor and ambiance was festive. The service was adequate but attentive. Granted just starting out in Roswell, I wanted to give a fair and honest assessment. The rolls and butter choice was delish! Salad, well, how exciting can a salad be, but tasty. The mashed potatoes and gravy were perfect and light. Now, the sad part, the prime rib was tough and cut wayyyyyy too thick!!! Doneness was cooked to my liking, but the prime rib, omg, YUK. Tasted like a piece of round steak and that is about how thick it was. No where near good. I did not send it back, but asked for a to go box to take home for a treat for the dogs. I am dead serious. I wished I had taken time to talk to the manager, but this is a chain restaurant. So, won’t ever get prime rib again there. But I saw lots of fun dishes I will certainly try when I go back or if I go back. Cattle Baron, not trendy, but they can cook a great prime rib. While not a terrible review, kudos to opening and operating a fun atmosphere in Roswell. That’s a plus. There was a great crowd there when I was there. Wait staff were pleasant.

Steaks/Burgers; Low quality food; I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was horrible, a very thin piece of meat, not cooked to order, dry and a huge disappointment; Rather, I paid for a Filet Mignon but didn't get Filet Mignon, look at my pic for additional clarification, it's not a Filet! Waitress insisted it was and I was too tired and annoyed to take it any further. Salad below average and packaged, not fresh; The iced tea really needs work, no taste; Sweet potato and bread were the best part of the meal. Atmosphere was really, really, really L-O-U-D! Service was below average; Very pricey for low quality food. Best advice if u like this chain, look at the cuts of meat as u walk in and if u don't see filets or the cut of meat u like, do not order. I didn't see filets, my mistake. Maybe their appetizers are better? I don't know. I will not be returning. Not how I have experienced Texas Roadhouse in other locations.

Review:

I recently dined at Texas Roadhouse, and I must say, it was an exceptional steakhouse experience. Here's my review of Texas Roadhouse:

Food Quality: ★★★★★ Texas Roadhouse truly shines when it comes to the quality of their food. The steaks are tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, with a range of options to suit different preferences. The menu also features delicious appetizers, such as the famous Cactus Blossom and the mouthwatering Rattlesnake Bites. The side dishes, including the fluffy baked potatoes and flavorful seasoned vegetables, complement the main courses perfectly. From the warm rolls with cinnamon butter to the delectable desserts, every aspect of the meal is a treat for the taste buds. Menu Variety: ★★★★☆ While Texas Roadhouse is primarily known for its steaks, they offer a decent variety of options to cater to different tastes. In addition to various cuts of beef, they have options like grilled chicken, ribs, and seafood. The menu also includes salads, burgers, and sandwiches, ensuring there's something for everyone. Although the focus is on meat-centric dishes, vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions can still find suitable options. Atmosphere and Ambience: ★★★★☆ Texas Roadhouse exudes a lively and energetic atmosphere. The Western-themed decor, country music, and enthusiastic staff create an enjoyable and authentic dining experience. The establishment can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, but the vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall charm. The lively ambiance is particularly suited for casual gatherings and family outings. Customer Service: ★★★★★ The customer service at Texas Roadhouse is top-notch. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They make you feel welcome and ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and helpful assistance throughout your meal. The servers are prompt in taking orders and catering to any special requests, further enhancing the overall dining experience. Value for Money: ★★★★☆ Considering the quality and portion sizes, Texas Roadhouse offers good value for money. The servings are generous, and the prices are reasonable for a steakhouse experience. Additionally, they often have early bird specials and promotions, providing an opportunity to enjoy their mouthwatering dishes at a more affordable price. Accessibility and Wait Times: ★★★☆☆ Due to the popularity of Texas Roadhouse, it can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours. This might result in longer wait times, particularly if you haven't made a reservation. However, the efficient staff strives to accommodate customers as quickly as possible. If you prefer a more relaxed dining experience, visiting during off-peak hours or making a reservation in advance is recommended. In conclusion, Texas Roadhouse offers a delectable steakhouse experience with its mouthwatering steaks, flavorful dishes, and friendly service. The lively atmosphere adds to the overall appeal, making it a great choice for a casual and enjoyable dining outing. If you're a fan of quality cuts of meat and a lively dining environment, Texas Roadhouse is definitely worth a visit.

This was our first visit to Texas Roadhouse in Roswell. My wife and I were very excited to finally get to eat there, as they are always very busy. We were seated very quickly in just a few minutes even though they were very busy as usual. We placed our drink and appetizer order while trying to decide on our entrees. After receiving our drink order, we received our entrees within about 10-15 minutes, but still had not received our appetizer, the cactus blossom onion. After asking our server about it, she went to check on it and returned and said that the order had not been entered for it and apologized. She said that they would take it off of our ticket and still bring it to us. This, of course, was the correct thing to do! Our server was very polite and did her best to accommodate us. Now about our entrees. My wife ordered the steak kabobs cooked well done, and I ordered the country fried sirloin with a loaded baked potato and house salad which my wife also had. The salads and baked potato were of good quality and taste. My wife's well done steak kabobs were definitely not well done, but still red in the center. We sent it back to get cooked the way that she ordered it. The meat came back cooked well this time, but the roasted vegetables that come with it were basically like charcoal! They should not have been cooked any further with the meat! This definitely didn't make for a enjoyable dining experience especially for the first time! My food was okay, but a little too much salt to my liking. On our dessert order, we ordered the Granny's apple classic as it is a apple cobbler with ice cream. Our dessert arrived minus the ice cream, as they were out of ice cream! We should have been notified that they were out of ice cream to give us the option of selecting a different dessert. Hunter, the manager, came by our table to talk to us about our experience and apologized about the problems. She said that they sent someone to get ice cream for our dessert! We're very pleased with her service to make us happy! We will be back again to try them again, and see if our next dining experience...

I've gone to this Texas Roadhouse many times and we usually have a good experience, but the manager (Hunter) ruined this outing for us. The waitress and hostess were very nice and helpful, so this is not against them. We all got our food at the same time, except for one of my daughters. Her chicken strips came 10 minutes later. We did not complain, as this is not something I enjoy doing. The problem was with my other daughter's meal. She ordered a 6oz steak cooked medium, and her steak was very well done. I sent it back, and did not get another steak for another 15-20 minutes. During that time, me and my husband shared our meal with her and she ate her sides. When the manager, Hunter, finally came to check on us and bring us the new steak, we were done with our meal and ready to leave. We told her it took long and did not want the steak anymore. She proceeded to tell the waitress to go throw it away, instead of offering for us to take it home. Sadly this is the third time we've had our steaks cooked well done, but in the past the managers have been very helpful. The manager still charged us for the sides my daughter ate and only removed the steak from our bill. I am not the type of person that takes hand-outs or expects anything free, but considering I had to share half my meal, and it took 15-20 minutes to get a new steak, I think the whole plate should have been removed from my bill. I tried explaining this to her, but it was hard to get a word in with her talking over me. In addition to that, I had a discount card that I can use to get a free appetizer, and she refused to remove the whole appetizer from my bill. She said there is a button she uses and it only allows her to take a certain amount off. I've used this coupon before and they always take off the whole appetizer, as the discount card states.

*A couple of days after I wrote this, a manager from Texas Roadhouse replied to my review. He ended up getting a hold of me and apologized for the incident. He really seemed to listen to my concerns, so hopefully our next experience...
