Asian Grill Sushi Buffet — Restaurant in Round Lake Beach

I love this place, for people who Complain about the food being cold then they must have gotten there food after Lunch or Dinner Times. They shutdown the “Hot Tables” about an hour or 2 before the Close up for the night. My Tip come here between 2:00pm and 3:30pm for Fresh Hot Food, this is the time window me and my Mom use all the time and they are constantly Refilling the “Hot Tables” with Fresh Steaming and Sizzling Food Stuffs. I have a few Food Allergies like being Gluten Intolerant and Lactose Intolerant to name a few so I stick to Fried Rice, Mei-Fun, Beef with Onions 🧅 and Bell Peppers 🫑, Fried Potatoes 🥔, and there Delish “Dark Sweet Chicken” I call it and there Orange 🍊 Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken is my Mom’s Favorite with the Fried Rice too. The Staff here are always so very nice to me because I learned some Mandarin/ Chinese and before I leave I always give them a Nice Bow and they Bow back to me in Return. The one young man I think likes me because on my Birthday he ran over to the Trinkets and Jewelry they have up front and he picked out a Beautiful Rose Gold Bracelet for me that actually matches my Cellphone too and he said it’s Free for me on my Birthday. I really appreciate Thoughtful Gestures like this it’s very very rare that I am not sick on my Birthday because I’m Immunocompromised from needing a Heart Transplant and Kidney Transplant back in 2019, the Nice Lady that works here gave me a Big Hug and started to cry and she said that I’m a Miracle, and she said something in Mandarin/Chinese to the other staff at the desk and they were in shock for a few moments but then did very deep Bows to me. I looked up what the Nice Lady had said to the other staff in Mandarin/Chinese she told them “ To show Respect to this Miracle young lady”. All I can think is maybe the Nice Lady had a Relative that must have been waiting for a Transplant and did not make it. And now if she happens to be working there when I come in she runs over to me and asks how I’m doing and if I have any Doctor appointments this month and she always loads up a baggy with Duck Sauce and Sweet and Sour Sauce for me before I go. Oh and I just LOVE the Music they have playing all the time, the music even plays in the Bathrooms too and I just Enjoy and the Stained Glass Art all around the place even on the...

Tried to go there yesterday. They ran my card for $55.04. Shows pending in my account. I tried to run my card multiple times and it kept saying denied for "dup payment" on their card reader. The lady manager at the desk wouldn't let us eat. I sat on the phone with my bank for 10 minutes who said it's all approved. It has to be their machines. I tried to be understanding and kind because i know things happen, but she just kept being rude and disrespectful and saying its my card, interrupting me, and answering the question she thought I was going to ask. She wouldn't listen when i was trying to repeat my question multiple times, because i wanted to know if they were going to take my money despite not allowing us to eat. Then said the payment will go through in 2 or 3 days. But we still couldn't eat.. because the transaction didnt go through on their end... she humiliated me and I finally gave up and left with my autistic brother, 6 year old, and twin babies. Every time I tried to ask if, when the payment does go through, can she reimburse me, she just kept interrupting me to say its not on her screen, and wouldnt listen to what I was saying. When I called today, same treatment. Rude, while arguing she's not being rude and wasnt yesterday, either. Told me, again, it's my card, and it happens to people with debit cards there.. but it's not their machine.... then she told me to waste another 1/4 tank of gas to go get my money in cash from them when the transaction goes through, because they supposedly can't reimburse the payment to my card directly.

This was my favorite establishment to eat at. I will not be back. Good riddance. Get a better attitude and treat your customers better. Ive never been treated so badly for trying to pay for food and drinks that I hadn't even gotten within 5 feet of. I literally show you my bank account showing you're taking my money. I even said I would be willing to get cash, instead. I opted to leave and not eat there at all because of how you treated me. As I told you on the phone, I've never been so humiliated at an establishment, and I will be filing with the BBB, as well. Absolutely...

Incredibly saddened to post this review as a long time returning customer, but will no longer come back to this place. We have come to this place since opening because they were incredibly nice and the food quite decent. We come around 3:00 for lunch and because of the time, we are able to enjoy dinner as well. I get off of work around 2:30 and being that I start at 6am, I’m generally looking forward to the food at this place.

Because I sometimes am a few minutes late, my husband shows up before 3:00 to make sure we follow the rules of being there in time for lunch and he has always paid for me. The website specifically states that lunch goes until 3:30. Today I show up before 3:00 and say that there will be two as my husband is five minutes away. She immediately tells me that she’s going to charge for dinner because we stay late and because my husband won’t show up until later. I offered to show her where my husband was and she refused to listen.

We have been returning customers since they opened, coming just about once every other week and now decide to try and make me pay more just because you feel like it?! I’m sorry but as returning customers, you honor their business and honor your website! If someone is there before your posted dinner time, then you have to honor that.

There are words I cannot post here on what I could call this owner and how she treated me as a long time returning customer as she deserves it. I will not support businesses that just up and decide to start charging people more because they feel like it and over $5 at that rate. Sad that this place has stooped low enough to do this.
