La Michoacana Special — Restaurant in Round Lake Beach

Come in the morning. Don't come later. They may be open but might as well not come because we lasted 30 mind for 4 elotes. There were 5 ladies and basically zero active customers. All they did was talk and gossip. Girl was at the elote station just standing and talking to the oldest women there. Whenever we ask a question, they would look us down like as if we were offending them for interrupting their conversation. Honestly, you don't need 5 ladies working there. It's a distraction for the whole establishment. Instead of making a friendly environment, they make you feel like your third wheeling, like you're interrupting a party you weren't invited for. I have been attended by all girls individually and they have been amazing but when they are together it seems like they are having a party rather than a work, attending clients. If they wanted to continue their conversation they could have finished the work much sooner but instead extended all that time standing talking while doing minimal work in a task that I've seen someone from the morning in 10 mins. Let me tell you Something about this Place! It's soooo Amazing! I specialize in customer service I myself provide exceptional customer service to my clients. And this place does just that. It's Super Clean always. They have a huge variety of ice cream! And did I mention that you can sample their Ice-Cream before you purchase any. They also have tortas! Sooo freaking Delicious! My kids and I come here alot. And NOT once have we ever gotten bad customer service. Watermelon can be a bit better. But, I told my son Javian, not that he complains much. This place does not deserve a 1-star like the little girl reviewed it about supposedly getting food poisoning. This place is extremely clean, cleaner than similar snack shops in town. Love the huge variety of items you can choose from. THIS IS THE BEST MICHOACANA AROUND. The service is fantastic, staff is very helpful and friendly, can't say the same about the Michoacana near Big Lots. I hope more people come visit this place, it is worth every dollar you spend.
