Super Mercado Villasenor — Local services in Round Lake Beach

This is a mini supermarket that has a variety selection of household items like eggs, milk and even has a meat/deli section. On Sunday they have Carnitas. They have a small section where they have the hot food. My wife and I want to try it; we got the steak torta and we also tried a variety of different tacos and quesadilla. They also have Horchata. The hot sauce were homemade and the green one was spicier than the red. The torta had a great crispy bread and very well seasoned meat. I am usually not someone that complains. So me and 2 other employees order from villasenor. We all order steak tacos, not even an hour after eating food we all throwing up and upset stomachs. I don't know what practices there using for sanitation , but obviously that not good enough. I would think especially 4.99 a taco that they charge they would be more sanitary. We did catering with Supermercado Villasenor and had the BEST experience. Food was amazing, ready on time and had amazing customer service. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything (and even gave us extra stuff with our purchase that we were not expecting!!!). During our event, we were getting nonstop complements on how great the food tasted. We will for sure be back and be recommending this place to all our family...
