My kid and I absolutely love Black Rock. Hands down the best coffee period. I was really tired of coffee that tasted like dirty water. As in coffee grounds being used multiple times until it isn't coffee anymore or coffee that is so bitter you have to add multiple shots of syrup to get the thing down. I was really disappointed everywhere we went especially in Starbucks and preferred to make my own coffee until we tried Black Rock.
Black Rock makes their coffee with coffee beans you can taste, strong without the bitter and the Barista's are excellent at what they do. I typically order a hot Americano with cream and it is phenomenal. No sugar or syrup needed. My kid gets the latte chiller with whipped cream no additional syrup. Again Black Rock's coffee beans are so good the chiller is delicious without syrup.
Now add the Barista's. Kind, welcoming without the fake. I know their jobs are difficult as customer service oriented jobs can be frustrating but they literally make me smile every time even when they're busy.
Even though in this economy I should be making my own coffee, I can't help going back multiple times a week. It is so worth every penny, it seriously feels like a reward...

The new Black Rock Coffee Bar in Round Rock offers a pleasant atmosphere. The music is loud, which can be off-putting, but adjustable. The white interior offers a modernity that might retract from feeling like "home," though. The only bar to sit at is a window corner. The space is small, but not many people would expect a place to sit like I do. I love coffee bars for reading purposes, so I might knock them down for purely peaceful surroundings, but there is a nook in the back that would offer a great place to study for a few hours.
Their Caramel "Blondie," made with white chocolate was fantastic. Having just gone through Covid (I was negative WEEKS before trying Black Rock), my taste might not be the most trustworthy, but the latte was strong enough to know that it was very flavorful. Very sweet, for sure, which is a sensation not taken away by Covid (just flavor).
I came back the very next day to try their Chai. I was also impressed. I'd try them again and again, and they're great enough to break an addiction...

Updated review 2/28 Black Rock never reached out even though they replied to the review, we went again today and were given the completly wrong food, we ordered bean and cheese Tacos and were given Migas, how do you get that mixed up?? They even repeated the order back to us over the Intercom and still got it wrong.
This is my favorite place to go to get coffee and I'm considering not coming here anymore, the quality of their lids are terrible and do not seal the cup, their coffee has spilt on me way too many times and have now stained one of my shirts, I always check to make sure the lid is on all the way and everytime it seems like it is and then I tilt the cup to take a drink and it spills on me. Every. Single. Time. I'm over it, buy lids that...
