So I have been coming here for years. Always great service and manners. I haven't been here in a while due to the pandemic. First off we were not welcomed when we came in. You order toward the bathroom and go from left to right. It looked like they were busy so we were patient. We talked about what we wanted and then my husband asked if we need to tell them what we wanted. I told him no. We are going to wait because they look busy. Stood there for about 3 minutes and not once did someone say they would be with us. So we thought maybe we needed to order at the register. With Covid going on maybe the process changed. So we walk to the register. The guy and the register looked at us and asked if we ordered. I told him no because no one asked us so we thought we needed to go up here. He advised that we needed to go back to the left. So we did. Waited then a guy with an attitude asked what we wanted. I told him. Found out you can not get ribs with a 1 2 or 3 meat plate. (That was crazy to me) but I changed what I wanted and told him. Then my husband put in his order. The guy rang us up and didn't ask if we wanted drinks so my husband had to tell him. (They fill up your drinks at the fountain. That makes no sense. We watched him touch so many things and do so many transactions by other customers and did not wash or sanitize his hands. So its not more sanitary) Then when he came back I asked him if we could get additional pickles and onions. I also asked if they are already included with our 2 meat plate. He had to ask the dude that made our order with the attitude. The guy with that attitude said its included so then I reiterated I would like additional. He had to charge us after we had already rang up That is why I think it is important to make sure to check with the customer that everything is good to go before ringing up or leaving the facility. I worked in customer service and I always went up and beyond to make sure my customers were happy.
So lets get to the part where we get home. I did not get pulled pork like I asked and I got beans instead of green beans. I also did not get pickles and onions. My husband got one small piece of brisket, no pickles and onions either so we got charged for something that was suppose to be included included and did not end up getting extra. Also I asked if he has to get our sauce to since we couldn't get our own drinks. He looked at me dumbfounded and asked confused "you want sauce?" I confirmed yes please. (Mind you we both have been saying please and thank you for every question and response) I asked for 2 original and 3 spicy. He had to ask again, I confirm. He brought over 2 and 2. At that point we were fed up and we just left. I am extremely disappointed in the service and we will not ever be returning to any Dickey's. There were at least 5 people working and there seemed only person that cared about the customer. We need love and passion...
Read moreI am a Facilities Director for another brand and responsible for over 250 locations. I try to be very lenient with my people and not hyper critical. This place however would cause me to probably fire a few people and spend thousands of $$ to correct. It’s filthy. And in complete disrepair. With an open kitchen it’s easy to spot there are no routine cleaning procedures enforced. Years of caked up grease and food deposits on and under equipment, The ceiling tiles are coated in grease and never cleaned. The dimkndispensers may get rinsed at best once a week or so. They have a proofing cabinet operating I the dining room with open containers of food in it. The men’s room Is out of order likely due to back up not being repaired. Had to use the ladies room that was filthy. Plunger beside toilet coated in toilet paper and filth. Soap dispenser empty and rolof paper towels was soaked. The floors through out dining room was sticky and I kept, and several products were out. Base boards filthy, light fixtures either missing bulbs or have several different temps of bulbs, And trash cans over flowing. All The while the staff of three sat at a table in the dim on b room other phones. The food had a decent flavor as I reluctantly ate it. My 8y/o son wanted BBQ and I was not going to upset him by making him leave. We will not...
Read moreI've lived in Round Rock a few years and dickeys was my GO To BBQ spot. I haven't been in a while bc the last couple of times we ordered online they canceled out order due to running out of whatever we ordered. And didnt get our money back for 5-7 business days. Apparently their portion size dropped..probably considering they used to run out of food. We paid $38 for kids meal portions. The brisket was 2 slices of fat and the chicken was like 2 oversized nuggets. The chicken was so dry! And the fries...lol you can count. We got charged a "renew/recycle program" fee no clue why...we were gonna order drinks but no ice. It is hot as hell inside the building and outside, we're in TEXAS...It's like 103° today...I called to ask if the portion size changed and basically wanted more food or my money back for one of the meals. And the "manager" said to return the food for our money back. I worked in the service industry for years and have never responded to a complaint like that. I weighed out the meat and it was .7lbs of brisket .3lbs of actual meat. The chicken was .8lbs smh...the mac n cheese was beyond minimal...never going back. I would return the food but I don't want to be rude to someone just "doing their job" it's a waste of time and money...go to Bill...
