I am leaving two stars because I do really enjoy the food here. I would leave zero stars for the customer service at Nancy's Sky Garden.
We have ordered food here on numerous occasions, and our order is rarely ready at the specified pick - up time. That really hasn't been a huge issue because waiting an extra 5-10 minutes is not that inconvenient.
What is inconvenient is the service we received on our last visit. Upon arrival, we found out they did not make our order. We were told it was "forgotten." We proceeded to wait over ten minutes for the order to be made (not such a big deal). After returning home with the food, I see that my salad has no chicken and noodles. It is just a spring mix. We call Nancy's and ask for a refund for the meal because I did not want to drive the 10 minutes back after already spending 20 minutes waiting for the pick up time, 10 minutes additional wait time, and 10 minutes driving home. It was just faster and more convenient to pick up food from the drive through next to our house.
Easy fix, right? Wrong. The cashier was unable to process a refund (it took her about 10 minutes trying to figure out what to do). By this point I was pretty irritated with the way the situation was being handled, but she said she would "write our name on a list so we can receive the plate free of charge on the next visit." Okay, not the solution I was hoping for, but it was better than nothing... until today when I was told there was no such list with our name and I can TRY ordering when the manager is on site to approve.
This is NOT how you take care of your customers. This is completely unacceptable no matter how tasty...
Read moreI was feeling rough, I was sick and tired of life driving around eating fast food options/easy to get to go meals with little nutritional value. My body was craving anything veggie and healthy but unfortunately I wasn’t in Austin where these options are more readily available. To my surprise this place in round rock of all places exists. The cafe itself seems like it should be in the proper Austin City Limits or Boulder or something. The atmosphere has very bohemian/chill, health food spot with a good atmosphere.
I was originally going to get take out since I wasn’t feeling 100% but the store wasn’t crowded so I could safely sit away from people and when you order a meal for dine in you get a complimentary soup and that soup was delicious. I got the carrot soup which was the perfect level of creaminess and seasoning. It wasn’t too thick but wasn’t like drinking hot water and there was a delicious hint of flavor perfectly complimenting the carrot.
I then got the Buddha bowl. And boy was it exactly what I needed. It has lots of fresh veggies and it is filling. I couldn’t finish my plate and had to take half of it home. Like the Buddha I felt this dish cleanse my soul. It was the veggie/health option I’ve been needing. I didn’t get any protein just the bowl and it was great.
I wasn’t expecting a place like this in round rock but I’m glad it’s here. It was delicious and I’ll definitely be back one day. I’m a sucker for complimentary soup especially when that soup is delicious and for a health restaurant it was within expectations for pricing but the portions were LARGE. So stop on by and get your health food kick. Ya...
Read moreA bit of an odd ball, gives off weird boomer 1960s vibes from the outside but thankfully decor inside is normal. Ordering is modern with a giant app tablet display which is slow, I’d imagine in a busy time that isn’t fast. Credit card touch pad isn’t clear since they have a sign that says instacart but you would have to know the app is instacart and honesty would be better if it just nothing.
Food was about what I expected and good. I got the spicy mango chicken and it was warm but a bit dry, probably why they put so much sauce on it. Also the “spicy” mango appears to simply be some type of spicy sauce added on top of the mango sauce. I suppose I had expected a mixed sauce vs a pizza drizzle so I’d probably skip the spicy option since it isn’t what I expected. The tofu was good, besides the sauce issue mentioned above, most likely the best tofu I’ve found since landing in Austin a few years back. Never understood why I can’t find decent non-fried tofu at Chinese restaurants but oh well, at least this place is decent. The only reason for less than 5 stars is really the sauce, less the drizzle and more the amount. I felt like it was swimming in sauce. The chicken, noodles, and tofu are on top of the salad and the tofu and chicken were slathered with sauce. I suppose because I didn’t ask for salad dressing they went overboard but near the end of my meal I had way too much sauce and it was like dressing all over and yuck. When we go back I’ll probably ask for less sauce or try a different one and see if that makes...
