Basically an upscale Taco Bell with sit down prices.

I wanted to treat the family to a nice lunch so we thought we would try out Rosa's since we'd never been there before and it looked nice on the outside. When we entered we quickly realized this is more like a fast food restaurant than what we expected.

Our experience: We entered the restaurant and stood in line to order while feeling rushed as we tried to figure out what we wanted before it was our turn. The menu is pretty generic so finding something that sounds good was actually a challenge for everyone, and we ended up going with safe bets, burrito for me, taco's for my wife, and nachos for the kids. I asked for beef fajita instead of ground beef on the burrito and the manager taking my order seemed confused, but eventually added it in which increased the price of the burrito by four dollars (this would normally be one or two dollars anywhere else). In total this meal cost us nearly forty dollars. But hey, maybe it will be worth the money?

When we went to sit down and wait for our food we found trouble finding a table that wasn't covered in left over food, but finally found a place. Unfortunately they also don't bring the food out to you so you either have to wait at the front of the house for the food or you risk not hearing them call out your number.

When we got our food I about blew my top. The nachos looked like something my twenty year old son made in his microwave, the tacos were sloppily assembled, and my burrito was a joke (see image). For a nearly twelve dollar burrito I was given a plate 1/3 full of iceberg lettuce, 1/3 boxed/bagged rice and refried beans, and 1/3 (if that) of a burrito. The only thing that appeared to be fresh were the tortillas which I ate after I finished eating my burrito as the portions were so small that I had to supplement my meal.

Who would this place be for? Someone who wants to get some Mexican better than Taco Bell (but not that much better) and wants it fast, and doesn't mind paying sit down prices. If you want to cater your workforce at the office (do people still do this with Covid?).

That's about it; it's like this place doesn't know what it wants to be. If Austin wasn't a thriving population center there is no way this place would stay in business.

If you want good quality food, with service at reasonable prices, and proper food portions, then don't come here. If you want Mexican but want it fast I would say just go to Taco Bell, you'll pay half as much and the quality will be close enough (besides the tortillas).

The only reason this isn't one star is because the building was nice and the tortillas were good. With all the choices in the area we don't plan on subjecting ourselves (or our bank account) to this place...

This place just opened in our area so we thought we would stop by and see what it was like. You enter and they have you order from some screens, get a number, find a seat. Easy and fast with an interesting atmosphere/salsa bar. They call our number and we get our food. This is the downhill part.

First the food is best described as the lowest of mediocre that Tex-Mex can get. I feel as though I could go to HEB and buy all the ingredients for a fraction of the cost and feed about 25 people. This stuff is bad. They give you great tortillas to go with your horrible food and all the enchiladas are wrapped in something that looks like a tortilla but completely falls apart. The sweet tea has more sugar than any sweet tea I have every tried. The fried rice and beans have that wonderful straight from the can feel and all the sauces kind of blend together to make a nice array of perfect blandness.

This place is the low end high priced version of Mexican fast food and is all about the atmosphere and cattle call. Don't go, save your money and go across the street and at least pay the same prices for...

Teamwork makes any restaurant old or new successful. Brandi stands out as "one of customer comes first employee". The place is well maintained from the parking lot to the restroom. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, excellent decor throughout the restaurant, very appealing to the eye. "Thank you " as you exit after an excellent relaxed meal. Great for solo, family, group or romantic gathering. Affordable and good portions. I'm back to my favorite breakfast place, great food, music and fast service (not fast food). Alejandro and Belinda are two of the best servers I've ever seen. From the time the is received at either the drive thru or counter 5 minutes max. I've even clocked them before 8 orders in 2.5 minutes. Only time the food gets warm is if your taking it home. The hard working people can get an inexpensive meal, relax ,music and no cooking,or dishes to wash. Perfect for the seniors, singles and married folks who (i don't feel like cooking tonight) (it's your turn to...

Ordered a taco salad and there wasn’t very much meat in there at all. It was mostly lettuce and cheese. Didn’t taste very good at all as I was basically just eating shredded iceberg lettuce. Yuck! Also, I didn’t hear my number called out (or they didn’t call it out) so I had to walk up to the counter and ask if they had my order ready. It was cold when I got it. Not sure if that’s from all the iceberg lettuce or from sitting there too long. Either way I give this experience one star. 👎 Edit- I walked back inside after I was about to leave to compare my receipt to the menu and see if my order had been taken wrong. I heard them calling out people’s order numbers on the microphone. They were not doing this when I was in there eating. They should make it a protocol to always use the microphone. No one wants to eat cold food.

Edit: thank you for making bean and cheese, tacos, an option again! Great service and the food was so good. Thank you again. The food, service, and atmosphere is always good! Tonight might have been a one off? Tonight a cashier standing at one of the registers told my boyfriend and I to pick any register. So we walked towards her and tried to start our order And then she walked off and another girl showed up. It was kind of confusing and kind of not cool. It’s a bummer you can’t substitute the beef tacos on Tuesday night for bean and cheese tacos anymore. Like the chicken and beef tacos are really good, but I love me a good bean and cheese taco too. The same cashier that helped me get a bean and cheese taco last week. Told me that it’s not possible. I left the counter super confused, but happy because taco Tuesday!
