Warning: Place has to be reported for food safety for inspection on serving chilled and not freshly prepared food. Don’t go by the over hyped reviews as they are not real ones, they incentivizes customers in exchange for a 5-star rating, which would be misleading. Same they have to be encourage for honest review not a default 5atar rating. Especially NEVER dare to attempt a Thali here. I went for a dinner and was excited seeing they serve thali buffet for dinner too, but it was worst Thali I have ever had. Most of food was cold and taste was also very average. They should not offer menu if they are not capable to give it fresh round the clock. Only thing was ok, is chicken curry. couple of items were repeated with same ingredients like dal makhani and same dal as veg starter too. Flavors are not really from South Indian as they have advertised, it’s too bland many dishes are. Sambar can’t be that badly prepared in any Indian restaurant here in US and it’s not Rasam it’s like another curry. Non veg starters were over cooked and meat has become like a rubber. When they replaced it was undercooked, definitely the COOK needs to be changed for sure. When I raised the concerns to the team about over cooked food due to reheating, few are cold and it’s not fresh, they are not bothered really. They argued like it’s fresh and they claim it will be that way chilled in freezer to serve customer fresh. I was shocked on their response. Team there doesn’t bother to serve customer properly and like it’s not their business to get it better for customer satisfaction and they are not expecting you to come back esp if you had any concerns with their food. Staff there need a better hospitality training to address customer concerns seriously if they need to run their business, else not the end sooner as that before one was there earlier. If you want to waste your money on a cold food and want to risk for any health issue then for sure go here. Overall it was such a horrible dining experience. Highly disappointed with such a famous name it has...
Read moreThis is the first Indian Restaurant I have came across where management is rude and does not accept the mistake. We ordered fried chicken momos and schezwaan noodles. The chicken momos has just the entire shell and small fried chicken piece inside, upon calling the person they started arguing that when they fry the momos chicken shrinks inside that's why it becomes a small piece ( In my life I have never heard such a stupid reason) he mentioned he can get a another plate because all we just ate a shell and we don't need to pay and apologized. Later he came up with steamed momos( I thought we will get same momos) but it was already late so we didn't say anything and finished eating. After that when we saw the bill the steam chicken momos which we received as a courtesy was a part of the bill and our server mentioned unfortunately management decided that they cannot remove that from bill. My question is who asked for steamed momos at first place? When we already had horrible experience why we will pay for the momos again? If we had to pay we could have picked something else. Basically you decided the food and forced us to pay after we finished eating? Why no one informed before that they cannot make momos again? After seeing this behavior I am 100% convinced that reviews here are fake and this place does not have anything good to offer. I would highly recommend to save your money and do not go to this place. There are so many better restaurants available where staff is nice and food is better, never going back again. The management posted apology however they were the one who decided to add forced Momos in my bill, what is the point of writing fake...
Read moreThe hostess greeted me and was kind. The first issue was when my food came out. I ordered (spice level 5+++) Tikka Masala with lamb, garlic Naan, and lastly for dessert was carrot halwa. I specifically asked for the spiciest they dared to make my meal. I love spicy food. My mouth is watering for the wonderful food I've had in San Antonio compared to Sti Krishna Indian Cusine in Austin, TX. When I tell you the food was so mild I could bring it back home and feed it to my infant, that's not an exaggeration. I told the hostess it was not spicy at all and asked if they properly spiced it with anything- it was so bland I could barely taste anything. I wanted to just leave but I decided to give it a few more bites. I was so hungry I made a trip to Austin for a personal pick up. I ate most of it out of pure hunger. The garlic Naan was very flat and seemed to be seasoned with garlic powder rather than minced garlic. Was very strong tasting. I would have given this place more stars if my needs had been met and when I brought it to attention for the chefs if they had added more spice to the already existing dish I would have been way happier with the meal.
I'm not one to complain unless there's very bad service.
The dessert was good, I do recommend the carrot halwa. Just make sure the ice cream served with it (if requested) isn't old and freezer burnt like mine was. But I don't recommend this place.
The inside is misleading. The inside of the restaurant looks nice I'll...
