It pains me to have to leave this review. I had high hopes for our cake order. Unfortunately, it all fell flat. First, she charged us $130 for a small basic 6ā€ cake, yet for my friend’s son’s birthday cake that was twice the size and with more fondant details a few months ago only cost $160. Why? What made you come up with $130 for my small cake with truly only ONE hand cut detail? Is it because you didn’t want to make the cake design in the first place? I don’t get it. I do not count the outline of the submarine printed on edible paper or the thin yellow band wrapped around the cake, because anyone could have done that, someone at the HEB bakery could have done that and given me the cake for $35. I feel very taken advantage of.

I have had horrible luck with bakeries in Texas and I was desperate for one of them to work out so I overlooked the insanely overpriced fee of $130 thinking maybe she will really make this cake pop. I am not a bakery owner, I do not follow cake pricing trends, so I do not know what is acceptable to charge for a cake. I know what I can afford, that is it. I can afford a $130 cake but what I don’t like is paying $130 for something and feeling like I got ripped off šŸ˜•

The issue is that 1.) The ganache filling tasted off. We picked it out. 2.) She forgot design details that I requested and made changes with the cake without checking with me first. At $130 for a 6ā€ cake, I should have been consulted. I would have asked for a different design or my money back. 3.) The cutouts of the design she did add were not good šŸ™ When I got a closer look it looked like it was rushed on. 4.) When the cake was boxed up, they messed up the only other ā€œdesignā€.

You may ask why I didn’t make a bigger deal in the bakery. Here’s why: I didn’t remember that all the details weren’t accounted for. It was a very busy day for me and I was rushing around. Second, do you have any idea how awkward it is in person to tell someone their cake looks about $60-70 overpriced? Plus they showed it to me real quickly so at first glance it looked okay, not $130 good, but okay. She got the basic idea of the cake. Third, it’s not like she could have fixed the one design (I wasn’t driving back to the bakery for that) or added more while I was already there. I didn’t have time to wait for that. At the end of the day you have to admit this is NOT worth $130. She knows she overcharged me. There is no way she doesn’t. I wish I knew why.

The bakery owner, Diane is pleasant and friendly but her response to my issues disappoints me and at the very least she should have offered me a partial refund or discount on a future cake.

DISCLAIMER-The cake toppers in the photos were made by me. I did not get them from this bakery.

Photos attached are of the cake, a convo with my friend who got her cake from this bakery back in April, and conversations I had with other bakery owners. Last photo is to show you the size of the cake with things around...

My SIL wanted to have an amazing cake for her birthday and asked for my help finding a bakery to do the job to her high standards. I had 0 experience with ordering a cake from a bakery and was nervous. My SIL is a diva and changed her mind a couple of times, but Diane was very understanding and helpful! She even helped with pairing the filling with the cake. Which I was very grateful for! She helped me every step of the way, worked with me to find something in our budget but up to SIL's strict standards, and was genuinely just a joy to talk to (whether by phone or email)! Not only was Diane the kindest and most helpful lady ever, she can BAKE!! The cake was beautiful and beyond delicious! I wish I had a picture to share! The almond cake and cream cheese filling was a delightful blend of tastes and textures! It was sweet but not overly so, with a delicate feel. Honestly, I probably could have eaten the whole thing by myself if not for propriety sake! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I also wanted to add that we drove this cake roughly 100 miles in a car full of kids and it made it there safe and was perfect to eat straight away. I give credit to Diane on this one, as she not only had a lot of helpful tips of safe transport (like floorboards NOT laps), but the coolest boxing method I've ever seen. I did delivery work for years so I'm always happy to see a business that cares about good packaging for transport! TRUST HER PROCESS WITH THE BOX!!! While this was my first time ordering a cake from a bakery, I reached out to many others for this cake. Diane was the best at mixing friendly and professional, and after actually eating the cake, I'm convinced there's not another bakery I need. I WILL be coming back again. And I 100% recommend this delicious bakery with its wonderful staff! I cannot recommend highly enough that you try out The Sweet Tooth...

I have tried a lot of cookies… this place may be #1. This place has successfully made a thick but not dry cookie. Whenever I get a big, thick cookie from somewhere, it’s usually a bit too dry or too undercooked (for example, Crumbl is always undercooked). This place has the perfect texture, perfect size, perfect taste! I’m a big simple-cookie person, and maybe that makes me boring, but the sugar cookies and snickerdoodle cookies are my absolute favorite – I always have to get them all. I am so obsessed! They even use my favorite sugar sprinkles instead of those thick ones!

I’m pretty picky and a big texture person, and this place is just amazing — it ticks all the boxes! The first time I came here was nearly a year ago (I don’t live nearby and I got this place mixed up with another šŸ˜…), and I think they mostly just had cookies. But now they have way more! I’m not a big cupcake person, but these were definitely good quality and my boyfriend loved them too. We got a couple of other pastries too that were awesome, especially the apple one. Next time, I’m going to try the zucchini bread…

If I needed something special or custom, I would definitely choose this place! The owner is so kind, personable, and passionate. The other helper was also super nice too and very knowledgeable about everything. I appreciate how fair the pricing is here too, plus they also have a cool rewards system. Everything about this place is perfect! If I was a little closer, it would be hard for me not to come...

I needed some cupcakes for my mom’s birthday and happened to ask another mom from my toddler’s gymnastics class if she knew of a good place. She mentioned The Sweet Tooth Parlor, which I had never heard of before. Even though I live a bit far from here, I happened to be going to Round Rock and decided to stop by. Upon coming in, you see right away that they have an amazing variety and that they specialize in the most beautiful custom cakes. Diane was incredibly kind and helpful, and I ended up buying 8 cupcakes of various flavors. I’ve had cupcakes from so many bakeries over the years so I already kind of knew what to expect. I was wrong. These cupcakes are, by far, more delicious and light and unique than any I’ve ever tasted. Every single flavor was like the perfection of that specific flavor. Tiramisu, strawberry, Baileys & cream, hot cocoa, wedding cake, chocolate peanut butter, red velvet, and chocolate chocolate! I am in awe because I never expected to be blown away by cupcakes after all these years. I also happened to get one sprinkle cookie for my kids and managed to get a little taste. I’m already dreaming of the other cookies. I wish I lived closer because I know I would go all the time. Still, I will absolutely make it a point to drive here when I am in the area and for all future special occasions. I am officially a devoted customer!
