If your wanting seafood or cajun food please do yourself a favor and dont eat here. Let me start off by saying I love seafood and I have eaten seafood and cajun food at hundreds of restaurants. My wife and I decided to try this place since it is close to us and we have never eaten here before. Big mistake. I asked the lady at the front what specials they had. She told me Po' Boys and told me what types they had. One of them was a fried oyster po' boy. She told me it is loaded with friend oysters. It sounded great so I ordered it. When it came out I was shocked. It only came with four small oysters and the sandwich was mostly bread. I asked her about it and she said yes they only come with four oysters šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø I refused it and asked for the catfish filet po' boy to replace it since she said it came with a large filet. When it showed up at the table again it was just as bad as the first. The filet was small and the sandwich was mostly bread. I decided to go ahead and eat it since this was the second sandwich. The fish was a little rubbery and had zero flavor. It was almost like eating thick jello without flavor. I had to add lots of salt and pepper just to have any seasoning. I decided to eat the red beans and rice that came with my sandwich. They were not to bad, a little to much salty for my tastes, but edible. My wife had the chicken po' boy and hers didnt have any flavor and the chicken breast that was on the sandwich was maybe a quarter inch thick at most. I have never seen such a small chicken breast. She also had the onion rings as a side and again they didnt have any seasoning. The best part of the entire meal were the crackers. Please do yourself a favor and just skip this restaurant. Keep driving to some other place. Needless to say we will not be back to eat at this restaurant ever again. It was a total waste of time and money ☹

My first visit to any Fish ā€˜n Tails in Rowlett, TX. I ordered a Michelada and was handed a beer and left with that. I asked where it was and they said it would be brought to my table. That was odd. We found a table where someone had just left so we stood there waiting and hoping someone would come clear it off and clean it. We sat there anyway waiting to get someone to clean it then my wife’s food was delivered, that was our chance to have someone clean the table, they went to get someone and my wife had to pick her food up so they could clean the table and so her food would not get sprayed with the cleaning product. She was in such a hurry to clean it. We ordered an appetizer and it was delivered with my meal; way after my wife got hers. The sauces looked old and crusty, the roll of paper towels were nasty. I was not happy with my drink or my meal. The only good thing I can say and found was the fried pickles where nice. The young ladies taking orders were not very helpful even though I told them this was our first time there. Feeling very rushed to order. I ordered the 2 catfish, 3 shrimp combo and my wife ordered grilled chicken plate with rice and veggies. Not recommended. I’ll stick with Flying Fish in Garland.

Went for lunch with my husband. You walk in and order at the counter. Fountain drinks, bottled drinks and a bar at the back of the restaurant for beverages. Just an FYI, if you get a messy meal, there are wet naps, gloves and to-go boxes under the pick up order sign, behind the cashier. The food was pricey but good and a lot of grilled options. The cashier was super friendly but everyone else was hit amd miss with service and friendliness. Plenty of hot sauces and napkins on the tables. Clean tables and bathrooms. There is a nice patio as well. We ordered the guacamole and chips. The guacamole portion was large and served in a cold molcajete., it stayed nice amd cold. There weren't enough chips for the guacamole though. The oysters were perfect. We would go back

Prior to reading this review I just want to put it out here, that I have been to every Fish N Tails, location and have been a loyal customer for years now to their various locations. Starting off the presentation of the restaurant upon arrival was clean and is one of the most modern locations that they have (being that they just opened this location). Given that this is a new location, we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because there may have been new employees still getting trained, etc. However, we recognized a few employees and even a manager that have worked at previous locations. So that makes it a little difficult to justify our experience here. To start off when ordering, the order taker did not know anything about the menu and continued to yell into the kitchen asking another employee if she had things or if they offered the same items as other locations. It was a little shocking that she didn’t even know the drink menu, something as simple as bottled drinks. They didn’t know how to take payment with apple pay (I am assuming this should be taught when learning the register). We later seated ourselves and awaited our food. As every location the ceviche is always served with sauce, chips, the ceviche, and a fork. We only received the ceviche, no fork, no sauce and no chips which are signature to this dish. Later a server came and brought sauce, just the sauce. We kindly asked for utensils and it was brought to us later. The wait time overall for the food to come out was not long at all and the taste was similar to other locations. It was just the service that needed work. My husband got up to ask for a to go plate, and he mentioned there was a guest waiting to order 5 min before getting attended with the order taker right in front of him. She was not busy and she was not helping anyone she was literally looking at him. It was baffling how there was no initiative to help him. I would personally not come back to this location because the Garland location has always had it right. I would definitely recommend management to reconsider their training on service because that would ultimately be the down fall of this location. When I first started choosing Fish N Tails, it was their superb service that has kept...

Today was supposed to be a friends dinner and we actually had a horrid experience at the Rowlett location. We paid for our food and we were receiving the wrong items many times and the ones we ordered were given to the wrong table and after the other table had them in their possesion they were getting them back from them and trying to just casually give it to us. We of course did not want to take food that had already been in another table so we told the waitress and the ā€œmanagerā€ and he insisted the food was okay that the other table did not touched it. But if you are paying and spending your hard earned money you would expect your food to be directly from the kitchen to you, not because you dont know how to handle your employees and tables and make mistakes all the time expect that customers will take the food being already touched and taken from some other customers. Please if the actuall owner reads this, let me tell you, you need to address this ā€œmanagerā€attitude and if possible replace him or he needs trainning Asap in customer service. Because you would not want to loose customers because of someone’s gross attitude. So please if you don’t want to feel mistreated by the manager please avoid this location, or this restaurant at all. What a horrible ā€œmanagerā€ How can I know if his name is actually Edgar? That’s what he said but I really would not trust a person line him. He was a hispanic male, had a red shirt, red sneakers and he was bald and...
