We recently visited this establishment and walked away thoroughly impressed—not just by the food, but by the warm, inviting atmosphere and top-notch service.

From the moment we stepped inside, Rooster Roo had the vibe of a place that takes pride in what it serves. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

Now, onto the star of the show: the fried chicken strips. These were hands-down some of the best we've had. Each strip was cooked to perfection—juicy and tender on the inside, with a beautifully crunchy, seasoned coating that didn’t feel greasy or heavy. The breading had just the right amount of spice and texture, giving every bite a satisfying crunch.

The sauce deserves a shoutout, too. We tried their house-made sauce and it was fantastic and complemented the chicken.

The fries and coleslaw rounded out the meal nicely, and everything arrived hot and fresh. It’s easy to see that Rooster Roo focuses on quality ingredients and execution.

While in there, the owners were serving with the upmost service. Listening to how they turned their idea into reality is ever so inspiring.

We tried this place for dinner and were greeted as soon as we entered. They took the time to explain everything on the menu. We ordered the #1 Heaven and Love with 2 sandwiches and seasoned fries. The Sandwich with coleslaw, pickles and RR sauce was so delicious. Order the spice level Hot which was full of flavor not just hot. Even the Mild was just full of flavor. Sam the owner takes his food and cooking very serious and knows how to make the best food available. Everything is cooked fresh to order so you may have to wait a few minutes for preparation of order but it is worth it. All the chicken is fresh never frozen and marinated for at least 24 hours. We found the restaurant very clean as were the restrooms. This is now our new favorite place especially...

My son requested this place ….drove from Plano to Rowlett and glad it didn’t disappoint.

This place doesn’t just bring the heat—it brings unbeatable flavor - The chicken is perfectly crispy, juicy, and well seasoned. Only downside is…..it’s a lil addictive, 😝 - staff was friendly and you can tell it’s all made fresh/with care.
