I was looking forward to trying the food here because of all the great reviews. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
I placed an online order for 2 items. When I arrived, I noticed that the roll I ordered was not what I wanted. I asked the hostess if I could get the one I wanted instead and she said I would have to pay for both since it wasn’t their mistake. While I understood that, I didn’t want the roll and did not want to pay for something I was not going to eat. There was also no way for me to check what I had ordered on my end.
I asked if I was sitting and eating, would I be charged for something that I did not want. And if so, that it would be considered poor customer service. At this point, she walked to the back to inquire about something (not sure what) and came back a few minutes later with nothing. She asked me to pay my bill and I reminded her that I did not want the roll. To please remove it. With a bit of unnecessary force, she did and then reached for my card. I asked her what the new balance would be and then she began banging on the computer.
As I was waiting for her to give me my new bill, she started badgering me and continued to give me an attitude about the whole dilemma. At this point, I was so fed up with the way I had been treated and the terrible customer service (over a $6 item) that I left her with the food on the counter.
Mizuki lost out on a $23 bill and a new customer as I will not be returning. It was incredibly rude of the hostess to speak with such an attitude the entire time and to not accommodate my request in any way. I would have gladly paid for the item that I did want and still would have left a tip. But to come out and start scolding me (unprovoked by the way) while banging on the computer, was completely...
Read moreI recently visited Mizuki Asian Fusion and Hibachi Restaurant for a friend’s birthday celebration and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and tastefully decorated interior made us feel right at home. Despite it being a sophisticated dining spot, the restaurant was surprisingly family-friendly, a factor that significantly enhanced our evening.
The pricing at Mizuki struck a perfect balance between affordability and quality. It’s not always easy to find a place that offers such value, especially with the flair and precision of Asian fusion and hibachi cuisine. Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented, bursting with flavors that paid homage to traditional Asian cuisine while introducing a unique, modern twist.
What truly set Mizuki apart, however, was the attention and care the staff showed towards my 2-year-old daughter. Dining out with a toddler can be a challenge, but the staff at Mizuki went above and beyond to ensure she was entertained and comfortable throughout their captivating hibachi show. Their efforts to engage with her and include her in the experience without disrupting the service for others was remarkable and greatly appreciated.
The hibachi chefs were not only masters of their craft but also brilliant entertainers, making our dining experience memorable with their skillful cooking and lively performances. Their ability to captivate the audience, regardless of age, added an extra layer of enjoyment...
Read moreWe come here multiple times a year for the Hibachi. On our last visit I made sure to bring cash so we could tip the Hibachi chef (Other people at our table only tipped after seeing us tip) regardless of our experience. The food was overcooked to the point that no one ate their steak, shrimp was put on my son's plate even though I asked them not to (He's allergic to shrimp), we had to ask for the sauce that's normally given before you eat (The sauce plates were there the entire dinner with nothing in them), we were only asked if we wanted more drinks after our meal was done, then immediately after I signed the bill and stood up one of the waiters ran up and checked my bill and pointed out that my tip was a few dollars short of the "SUGGESTED" tip amount. I told the waiter that I had also tipped the chef, and he said "no the tip is for everyone". So I guess I shouldn't be tipping the chef then? Instead, I just wont be returning. Incredibly rude to rush someone and strongarm them for a few more dollars on a $100+ bill for...
