I would NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR come here again. Got here at 6:00pm to pickup a doordash order. It said the order should’ve been ready by 6:05. When i got inside, there were already 2 gentleman waiting for their orders and said they had been waiting for 30 minutes and longer and they were PISSED. One of the guys mumbled “ i don’t even know how this place is still open and they’re this slow with orders “ There’s also a little doorway that’s open between the kitchen and lobby, you can see them inside putting the food together and they can see you waiting. ) There was 4-5 employees working and they all kept walking past the doorway and not acknowledging anyone up front. They didn’t say anything nor did they actually come to the register but continued to make eye contact…. After i had been waiting for about 10 minutes, 2 people walked in. One of them left 10 minutes later after not being acknowledged. At this point it was 4 of us waiting. One of the guy employees came to the front and gave one of them their order, then slowly but surely the other guy got his order as well. I ended up asking while the employee was still upfront how long the order would be, he said he would check and come back to let me know. Couple minutes later, FOUR EXTRA people entered. eventually all FOUR people ended up getting their order BEFORE me and at this point it’s 6:45-6:55? How does 4-5 extra people come in after me and i’ve been there since 6:00pm get their order first? One of the guy employees came back up front & i asked him how long would the order be because i would unassign from it if its going to be any longer. He said he would let me know like beforehand earlier & once again, didn’t let me know. In fact he just looked at me thru the doorway but didnt come back upfront to relay an answer….. an older lady came up front and i asked her the same question and she said “ 30 minutes, i don’t know “ so i asked did they not get the order an hour ago at 6:00pm…..?? and she just shook her head and started walking to the back. at that point it was 7:00pm. I had been there for a whole hour. It didn’t really seem like they understood english. the younger guy employees seem like they understand it pretty well but still some confusion along with the lady. If your going to run a business, you have to learn to communicate with your customers. Simple. I left with an HOUR wasted of my time plus no money in my pocket because i couldn’t finish the order. Don’t go here. Wouldn’t recommend.

I usually always order the Almond Chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice, and it is absolutely DELICIOUS! The chicken is always fresh and moist, with a perfectly crispy and hot batter. The brown gravy is rich and flavorful, and the fried rice is spot-on. The shrimp, although an extra cost, are large, fresh-tasting, and definitely worth the upgrade. The egg rolls are amazing too. Every time I order, the food is ready quickly and served hot. The staff is super friendly, and I'm honestly surprised this place has a lower rating on Google. I’ve tried several other dishes here, like the General Tso’s Chicken and Egg Fu Young, and everything has been fantastic. I’m usually picky about Chinese food and almost skipped over China Town because of the reviews, but I’m so glad I gave it a shot. You won’t be disappointed!

I miss the almond chicken as I’ve moved to Oklahoma City and it’s unavailable there. The roasted pork bean sprouts and egg in the fried rice was awesome. That’s something else I miss in Oklahoma City as all the Chinese carry out make the fried rice with yellow food coloring and they just put peas carrots and onions with the pork fried rice not as good as it is in Detroit. I also like that they make their own sweet-and-sour homemade sauce for the eggrolls. You can’t get that in Oklahoma City either what we do have is the best barbecue in the United States hands down, if you want barbecue visit Oklahoma City.

Chinatown really exceeded my expectations.

My wife grew up in this town and always went to Mui's for Chinese food. Mui's is great, but one day they were closed and I decided to try Chinatown. I had a craving for a chewy noodle dish and chose the Beef Lo Mein.

The noodles were EXACTLY what I wanted and were cooked perfectly. Nicely sauced, but not drowned in something overpowering like other restaurants sometimes do.

What might have impressed me even more than the wonderful noodles was the brown fried rice that came with the dinner portion. You know how there's usually some tiny pieces of chicken in the rice? Often times they end up dry and hard. But not at Chinatown! They were soft, moist and super flavorful.

The beef in my noodles was the same way. I didn't find a single piece that was overcooked. All of them were velvety soft and juicy. That's not always easy to accomplish when stirfrying small pieces of meat that will naturally cook very quickly.

Needless to say, I'll certainly be back again for the same dish!

P.S. The Hot & Sour Soup was...
