So Big Rocco's Pizzaria is not a business who honors their own verbal contracts with bands they book there. I could take them to court but who needs all that? I'm a musician. They booked our band 3 months ago under MJ. So next, MJ loses her job (along with 60% of staff, according to owner) so she calls me to tell me I'll be working with Bridgette, and that I'm booked as we confirmed, but Bridgette might lose her band booking calendar so I need to call her. So Bridgette never answers phone calls at work, so 3 weeks before show the owner (he "doesn't deal with band stuff") gives me her cell phone so we can make sure all is well before our show. Because nobody knows and nobody has called me to cancel. She reports to me our show isn't on the calendar, and tell me all about your band. So essentially I sell her our band for the third time there, because I've sold the owner initially, he flipped me to MJ, then I sold MJ, and that's how we got the date on the calendar (confirmed in my texts) for September 8th. After a lot of back and forth she tells me she's got two December dates left if I want one of those. I say great we will take one. But then she doesn't give me one. The next day she said she'll fix it at work. That doesn't happen. Then she says we might not be a fit there because we're a band from the East. Meaning we're from West Palm Beach!!! Their tavern is in Royal Palm Beach!!! So I tell her my following and friends are all over the county. They're actually all over the 4 counties. I told her that not only that but every time I do a show our crowds stay until the very end I'm good at holding crowds and making the cash register work. Because I am. So that day she says she's going to work and fix it, maybe with a date even closer than December. But that never happened So the owner says he's not getting involved, and that leaves my band 2 weeks from show, and show is removed. Who wants to support a place like this? Can they even handle making your pizza? Don't go is my advice. Another business with no care for humans and doesn't keep previous agreements with other...
Read moreThis place has pizza with a great crust. Stick with the pizza. And I am going to issue the caveat of less is more right. These pizzas are huge and if you put more than one or two toppings they become a soggy mess. We ordered there Rocco's special and by the time it was delivered to our house we went to pull a piece and only received about 2 in from the cross everything else was a soggy gooey mess in the middle of the pizza box. Perhaps this would be different if you were to order while in the restaurant but due to covet that is not really an option for us right now. We will definitely be ordering pizza from them again but again probably only a cheese pizza or something with light toppings and we are looking forward to this because the crust was so good.
Let's move on to the appetizers as it is a delivery I attempted to order onion rings, battered mushrooms, popcorn shrimp, steak fries and I believe one or two other items all of which I was told were unavailable. We ended up ordering wings regular french fries and garlic knots. I have to say based on these appetizers if that's all we had received I would never order from this restaurant again. The wings we received were over cooked and yet had half a bottle of sauce dumped on top of them. The french fries we received we're so heavily salt and peppered they were not able to be eaten. They were just absolutely disgusting I have never went to a place that heavily Peppers their french fries to the point of them literally being trash. The garlic knots which should have been fabulous were over cooked and hard as a rock. We had requested them with extra garlic and I think somehow that was translated to know garlic because there was no garlic.
Again if you are going to order from here Order their Pizza but order it with one or two toppings and definitely don't go with their Specialties as they leave a lot...
Read moreThis review is off of the food and not the server. The server had, Brie was amazing, attentive, and on point. The issue is with the overly limited menu they offer. If you decide you want pizza or calzones they have that. I wanted to try a wide array from the menu and I did. I know I ordered wings, but if they are on the menu, why not try it? I did and they were definitely nothing to write home about it. The Calamari was an incredibly small portion size for what you pay for it. We did get, I think it was the Big Rocco Pizza. The pizza was overloaded with toppings and soggy. In the end, pizza was not going to be my first choice. I was going to try and order Baked Ziti, but as an "Italian" Restaurant they do not even offer that. How are you an Italian restaurant and do not offer that? So I thought well they do not have that, maybe chicken parmigiana. Uuuummm wishful thinking on my part. Again, they did not have that on the menu. Two staples of Italian food and they are not on the menu.
In the end, if you want an amazing bar service, see Brie. If you are going there to eat at a glorified overpriced pizza restaurant, this will for sure...
