La Perrada del Gordo – Worst service I’ve ever experienced

My husband and I visited La Perrada del Gordo on July 11, 2025, with two family members. We ordered 3 Hawaiian hot dog, a Choriperro, 3 appetizers, and drinks, spending about $100.

First, our server brought just one hot dog out of the four meals. It looked like a Hawaiian hot dog—pineapple, pink sauce, chips on top—so I assumed it was mine and ate it. However, when the rest of the food arrived over 20 minutes later, my husband realized he’d been given a Hawaiian hot dog instead of the Choriperro he ordered.

We told the waitress, who took the plate back, but the manager came over and insisted that what I’d eaten was a Choriperro, not a Hawaiian hot dog. Despite me explaining that I’d already eaten the Hawaiian hot dog, she argued and refused to replace my husband’s order with what he originally wanted.

Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the manager returned to our table carrying a tray with an uncooked regular hot dog and a Choriperro to “teach” us the difference, as though we were clueless. It was humiliating and unnecessary. Yes, I mistakenly ate the wrong hot dog because it was covered in so many condiments that I didn’t realize it was the Choriperro—but that’s precisely why the staff should have helped fix the mix-up rather than argue and try to “educate” me.

Rather than provide good customer service, the manager chose to belittle and embarrass us in front of the restaurant. My husband ended up eating a hot dog he didn’t want or enjoy, and we left feeling humiliated and angry.

I would never return to La Perrada del Gordo and absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. A simple mistake could have been handled kindly and professionally, but instead, the staff made it the worst dining experience...

I don't know what happened to this place... It's been a while since I haven't been here but As soon as I entered I asked if it was closed because the tables were to the side with no chairs, and all the chairs in a tower over the corner, the floor was sticky and dirty and the music was loud, I asked if we can use the tables and they replied with "or you can seat outside" (tables outside are set) like forcing customers to seat outside for a reason.

I was greeted and they were patient to take my order but I had to wait standing up with my kids running around because we were never offered a chair or they took the time to go and get one from the tower, probably they were expecting me to do it.

We decided to take imour food home which I hate because it gets cold and soggy, and this was no exception. Food was bland... Next time I crave I will go to the one in military, I rather...

We came around 3:30 on a Sunday. It was very empty and we were able to order pretty quickly. We ordered the Gordo Fries, fried yucca, tostones, a arepa de chocolo a perro hawaiano. They had very little vegetarian or vegan options The food was good, albeit weird. I’ve never had crushed pineapple on a hotdog, and it was fantastic. The gordo fries were also very good. The yucca and tostones were very crisp, but they didn’t come with any sauce and were a little dry. I would definitely come back, as their burgers look amazing, but I would probably take it to go because the music inside the restaurant was so loud it was hard to have a conversation and even outside it was a little too loud to enjoy ourselves.
