Giovanni's & Sons Pizzeria — Restaurant in Royersford

I normally never give a bad review here and I get that its New Year's Eve and they are busy however that's not an excuse. I placed an order online to pick up said it would be 45 mins so I showed up at 6pm. There was a line out the back door and all the way down the sidewalk to main st (poorly managed). Waited outside for nearly 30 minutes in the cold, finally get inside for my order. Gave them my name and they couldn't find it. Only to find out because their fax machine ran out of paper my order didnt print therefore nothing was made and they even charged my card. I supposedly am getting a refund. This was very disappointing considering its one of the best places around to eat. Oh well guess I'm going to have to find a new spot

Update to response from owner....I gave you another chance, today 2/28/21 at 1:15 in the afternoon, not a busy time at all, seriously no one in the place. I ordered nothing difficult, large pepperoni pizza well done. Again not hard was told give them 15mins, I even gave them 30 minutes. Got there gave them my name, young kid looks around says sorry didn't get that slip. Are you kidding me right now.... Says I can make you one, it will take 7 mins. Really 7 mins for a well done pizza. I left annoyed as anyone else would be. It's raining outside, you wasted my time, my gas. I called after I left and asked for the manager. Said I was speaking to him, basically not apoligetic at all just people make mistakes. Ive been a regular for 8 years and his response was well 2 mistakes in 8 years is not bad. You've had more trust me. This is just 2 that all of a sudden you didnt get the slip please. Sounds like you need a new machine or new workers. My family is done with this place as well as my extended family who drives a good distance to come here.... Done...

first of all, we really love to come here cause it’s so close. and we enjoy the food! however we came in twice and had server Lou and she had an attitude both times. I asked to sit in a booth because I have scoliosis and my back was hurting, meanwhile it wasn’t very busy at all. One waitress said we can sit there, we sat and Lou came over and said sarcastically “is it just you two” which i replied yes as we were sitting on the corner and she scoffed. This happened the other time we came and she made us move in case other people came… which made us feel not only like we didn’t matter but no one else came in to sit down to eat when we did since it was a monday the first time. I ordered a pizza and they had put oregano on it which I guess the herb looks kind of like wood or toothpick shavings. I let Lou know and she said she’d let the staff know. Well Lou came back and dropped a dish on the table again with an attitude and said “it’s oregano” then said they took it off the bill and then gave us our check. I was still hungry and she didn’t even ask if we’d like something else to eat and I honestly felt intimidated to ask anything. She could’ve shared it and brought the pizza back or asked us if we’d like something else to eat. I don’t have any complaints to the manager that came over. He was really nice and shared it’s just how the seasoning looks. The food that is our favorite is their hot sandwiches and atmosphere is okay but we prefer now to eat someplace else or either just pick up and...

A perfect experience with Giovanni's Catering! We catered an event for about 45 people and decided to use the service delivery set up and pick up. Worth it! Our food was delivered on time and set up with efficiency. Courteous service from the first moment we ordered to the event finale. The quality of the food was very good. Rolls were quite fresh and pre-sliced. We had penne pasta with vodka sauce, chicken francaise, pork, salad, chicken tenders and garlic knots. The chicken tenders with honey mustard and barbecue sauces were huge and so delicious. The garlic knots came with a marinara dipping sauce and were a big hit. The salad is full of varied vegetables typical in salads with two dressings. Because the portions were so generous, I would suggest that you ask Giovanni's for assistance in determining how much to order for your party so that there is not excessive waste and cost. Regarding the price, we feel that we had excellent value after pricing around and will definitely be using Giovanni's...
