This place is outdated & completely unorganized. I placed my order on door dash for pickup & it said my order would be ready at 3:08 pm. I got there around 3:11 pm & when I walked in there was a line all the way to the door to order. I was standing in the back of the line for awhile & tried getting the attention of a few of the people behind the counter who heard me but ignored me. I guess they were scared to talk or acted like they didn’t hear me but I went to the very front of the line to just let the cashier know I was just picking up an order that was ready for me & she says “oh, you have to wait in this same line & that it would be awhile because it was just her”. Umm, what? I have to wait in line where people are ordering just to pick up an order that I had already paid for and was notified it was already ready for me? Most businesses that are partnered with delivery services have their own section where you just go to pick up orders, not sure why this place doesn’t. I had to wait in line until 3:35 pm just to grab my order that was sitting in the shelf right next to the cashier. On top of that, the cashier was picking up the phone & taking incoming calls while people were still standing in line waiting to order. You’re telling me this place doesn’t have someone else who can answer the phone & also hand out delivery orders? I saw plenty of people behind the counter just standing there. Normally the food here is pretty good but when I got home my food was cold of course & left a bad taste in my mouth. Not...
Read moreWe went at breakfast time. I had potato burrito. She had tacos. The lengua tacos very flavorful. The burrito tasted great.
For pricing, the burrito price is good value. As far as the tacos go, they are priced just over $2 on street taco tortilla(small). While the market may allow that price, it's a little high for what I want to pay for that size. I would like to see these priced at around a dollar but would be willing to pay up to $1.50. BUT...the price isn't terrible, however at the current price I'm not going out of my way for these delicious tacos.
The venue is clean and easy to get to in Royse City. I will say I never ate inside this location, but I may and see no reason to raise an eyebrow.
The sauces are the final defining factor. I think they are made in house. These add the spicy kick needed for this kind of fare. I have been to other establishments and the sauces are so bad I refuse to go back. Not here.... Not this place, the sauces are great. There is a heat for all types. The avocado (I guess) sauce burns just right for about 15 minutes for those that like heat. But I love them all.
If you like taqueria style food this is must to give it a shot. If your on the fence, go check it out. If you usually do not eat this style, I recommend giving it a try you might be surprised. If you are passing through STOP immediately and go in. You will be...
Read moreDowngrading my review from a year ago from 5 to 2 stars. Not sure if change in management or what but last 3 times I have eaten here have been horrible when it comes to getting my food.
Today they lost my ticket which I didn't find out for 15 of standing waiting. Took 30 min from when I ordered to get my food.
Ironically it was 30 min wait time for tacos to go last time. Basically if you want to wait around for good food then give it a shot. If you can't fathom how it takes that long to make a few tacos then I'd suggest hitting downtown fate to the new taco shop by the dry cleaners.
My family and I won't be back.
Wow those breakfast tacos are nothing to sneeze at! My wife ordered two and she couldn't get through the first one! Very generous portions with the breakfast tacos.
Came back just a week after being referred by a friend. The trompo look a fantastic think I'll be back for lunch or dinner today and try it!
So glad they are here, some of the best...
