I remember this location fondly as a child. My memories were of amazing Mexican food, always happy staff, and of course the coin vending machines by the doors. Sadly I will now remember this location for the disaster of a lunch that has absolutely ruined any good memory I had! On arrival there were very few cars in the lot, good sign for a speedy lunch. Upon entry we were quickly greeted and seated at a table that needed a few adjustment feet or replacing altogether. I knew the wobbly table would make for an interesting lunch for my toddler (1 year old) - Luckily the high chair was disgusting enough that I decided to sit my child in my lap for lunch. Drinks, chips, and some resemblance of salsa (3/10 maybe) was quickly placed on the table. Order taken and wow just fifteen minutes later we had our "meals." Hard taco shells were elastic, I tease you not they were chewy and almost plastic consistency. I would have had hopes of sending the tacos back but with the enchilada meat containing bits of cartilage and other unappetizing pieces I knew I'd be wasting my time; Previous attempt to get the waiters attention was hampered by the obnoxiously loud music. This location DOES NOT in any way compare to the location next to the university - That location has excellent food all around. It's a shame this location exists to drag down the restaurant name and ruin memories of great food and atmosphere that it used to be years...
Read moredo not eat here 😞🙄Husband and I came here famished. I have a registered ESA dog that is very well mannered, I went inside and explained this to one of the employees who said it would be fine. We got seated and met our waiter got our drinks and a dish of water for my fur baby waited to order. Was brought our drinks that were not what we ordered and let it slide. Because we're gentle folks and assumed it wouldn't be a issue to get it fixed. And they brought chips and salsa then before we could even take a bite of chips and salsa the assnine owner approached us. Complaining why does my service dog have a dish for water!!! I said first of all he's not a service dog yet he's training for it and is a registered ESA. He's perfect with birds and I trained him to round up the chickens. The man was so rude and not understanding at all. I have severe PTSD night terrors mania and 7 types of migraine. A word of advice for the establishment would be to always remember that you never know what the next person suffers from on the inside. ALWAYS BE KIND. ALWAYS OFFER A SUITABLE OPTION WHEN FACED WITH A SITUATION THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR OTHERS. REGARDLESS THIS EXPERIENCE HAS DEFINITELY ADDED TO MY LEVEL OF STRESS. NOT TO MENTION THE OWNER HAD SNIFFLES... HOPING IT WAS COCAINE AND NOT THE...
Read moreI’ve always enjoyed the food here, however since the new store opened up over by tech, this current store on East Main has gone down hill. I’ve always wondered why, but never knew until today. I ordered my usual meal which is 2 alonbre’s with extra meat that I usually pay $30 for, but today it was $44. I asked why, and the manager stated this is how he had to ring it up moving forward. But if I was to order 4 alonbre’s, it would be $4 less then my current order of 2. I advised let’s do that instead. He said he already had this made the current way. I advised I wasn’t going to pay more for less food. He advised me that I could just leave his store. I respectfully left as requested and went across town where I was greeted with respect and treated like a customer that was wanted to be there. The manager at the one on south Arkansas avenue was very polite and you could tell by his actions and his tone that he was happy to have you there. I will continue to go to the one on North Arkansas Avenue moving forward and I recommend this place to all my friends and family. The manager on East Main Street should really take notes as the reason he’s loosing business is because of the negative atmosphere he’s providing with his customers. I rated...
