Eskamoe's Frozen Custard & More — Restaurant in Ruston

Me and 2 others wanted to get some milkshakes at Chikfila. Sadly since it was Memorial Day, they were closed. We then decided that Eskamoe’s would be the next best option and nearly as good. Boy, were we mistaken! I got a vanilla concrete with Oreo topping. What I got was half melted ice cream with a dash of Oreo fairy dust. My little brother ordered an Oreo malt. A malt is generally a thick milkshake. He had the same issue of not actually having any Oreos in his. He described it as thinner than a sorority girl on Ozempic. My best friend ordered the apple cobbler alamode. He said he would have much more enjoyed a scoop of freezer burned bluebell ice cream.

I have been to this establishment at least 10 times since I have been living in Ruston and I have never once been satisfied by the outcome of my visit.

I wish Peach city rolled ice cream was still open cause their product was made with love and way tastier than this dairy slinging void...

Usually good, but showed up in drive thru at 8:55pm tonight. Hours posted online and on the drive thru window say they close at 9pm. I sat at the drive thru window for 5 minutes. 2 employees left before 9:00 and at 9:00 an employee walked out and turned off the lights. I asked her if they were closed and she just nodded. I said I had been sitting there for 5 minutes and she just ignored me and kept walking. If you close before the posted hours of 9pm on Sundays, please update all of your posted hours. Update: We have been back a few times now, and everything has been great!! So glad that we continued to go back.

Original post: I'm wondering if they are under new management/ownership. This is our go-to place for snacks and treats, but our experience yesterday was horrible. I ordered a fountain drink (which is on the menu) and was told that the only drinks they have are in cans. The pretzel that I got was soggy and nothing like they have always been.
