First time trying Louisiana’s Johnny’s Pizza House.
Traditional pizza lovers.. Yankees.. this isn’t the pizza.
It’s Johnny’s.
And it was fresh, creative, well portioned, evenly distributed toppings, and they had a buffet with rotating selections of their most popular pies and a couple others - including.. I know… dessert pizzas.
It’s probably not where I would take a nice date or have a work meeting - but it was definitely a nice experience and I ate well worth my charge of $14 for a medium drink and buffet access.
Salad bar available as well - shredded lettuce and some toppings. Also looked fresh and clean.
Staff was friendly and attentive to the dining area. They seemed to be enjoying work and the food quality reflected their effort and attitude.
The sort of deep dish cheese pizza and the “Flip” were a couple of my favorites.
Nacho style, probably from a can, cheese sauce available on the buffet line as well as marinara sauce.
Would eat again, and if I found myself in the area again for work with casual friends or laborers I’d...

I ordered 2 party pizzas and we arrived in our RV, so instead of 5 kids (nieces and nephews) eating in the RV I decided to eat in the restaurant instead. I went inside and before paying, the manager asked if we'd like anything to drink, which I replied no as we had brought our water bottles. He (Ray?) said that wasn't allowed. I told him he had to be kidding, he wasn't. So we could NOT eat inside and had to go back out and eat in the RV. This has never been a problem at any other location and I let him know that, in which his reply was "not at any location I manage". I let him know his policy lost him a customer. I'll continue stopping in at Shreveport and/or Farmerville instead. I'm hoping corporate takes note of this as I am the biggest Johnny's fan in Texas and ate at both the Kingwood and Longview locations regularly before...

A minute went by after she was messing with something on her computer screen and she finally asked if I was dining in or carry out. I don't know why but she couldn't ring me up, so another female came to help (I didn't get her name but she had an awesome leg tattoo). The second female spoke and was much friendlier. I paid for my order and she told me it would be about 2 minutes because the wings were still going through the oven. After two minutes the lady came to where I was sitting and asked me to wait a little longer. About 7 minutes went by and a manager came out and asked my name. She went to the shelf and came back with my food. She instructed her staff to pay attention to the names on the tickets and that my food been ready. By the time I made it home, my pizza was cold but the sweet and tangy wings were hot...
