Waffle House — Restaurant in Ruston

I have ate at waffle house many times. But this waffle house at 1121 cooktown rd in ruston la 71270. Was the worst experience ever. The waiter brought us dirty silverware and dirty coffee cups with lipstick on on it. Had to send it back. Her response was that she didn't see it. Plus you never seen her wash her hands. Washing tables and serving food. But not washing your hands in between. When I traveled this way I would never stop here anymore. I don't recommend this place. Plus no gloves on. Just dipping her hands into the ice bucket. Gave my daughter a chocolate chip waffles and the chips were not melted because she got them out of the refrigerator and just poured them over...

Ive been to many Waffle Houses but the mechanics here are on point. Not sure how she did it but our server Yusheka damn near did everything and was still attentive and polite to us. She bussed tables, mopped floors, answered the phone, greeted people all while making sure we were serviced properly. Thing is from observation it wasnt easy, her co worker and possible superior wasnt the kindest at giving orders and at times seemed selective. Positive attitude goes a long way and I hope harsh leadership doesnt tarnish the morale of this group. Look yall, I’ve been Waffle Housing since the 80’s. I was a little worried when I walked in and everything was clean and all the employees were nice and actually happy to see us. From my experience, a great breakfast can only be cooked by a person who hates their job, but these folks here in Ruston are a different breed! They were smiling , happy, cooked 5 of us up meals quick! Food was great! And then they were cleaning and singing songs of Waffle House days of old! The one lady with the purple hair did a back flip while juggling 6 eggs! If yall want to try a clean Waffle House with the cleanest restrooms and happy employees try the one...
