I wasn't impressed. I say that, not thinking that there are too many ways to make a pizza, but there are ways of making them wrong. I wasn't a fan of this pizza, the sauce was more than there was cheese, and it was definitely not a seasoned sauce, at least not in the sense that I am used to for a pizza; the sauce was bland, pasty, and didn't taste of anything but warm tomato paste, the cheese that was sparsely topping the pizza, was also not great, didn't taste of mozzarella, not sure what cheese(s) they use, but there wasn't much that gave it any good flavor, and the flavor that was there was mostly drowned out from the tomato paste sauce, and flour from the bottom of the crust, making for a VERY dry pizza without much flavor. I hadn't gone here expecting to be wined and dined, but I had hoped for a couple slices of GOOD cheese pizza, I got nothing of what I expected, and I wasn't holding the bar too high (cheese pizza is usually good). Now when I get an option for Pizza, I usually say "No thanks" if I hear it's from Ramunto's, I've heard plenty of friends and family rave about it, but personally, when I did give this place a chance, I was less than impressed and don't currently have any desire to try this place again- not even for FREE pizza, I just lose any appetite when offered, it's been a while and I still get that dry pasty taste in my mouth (shoe leather has more flavor, not good, but flavorful). I'm not usually one to write reviews that are less than stellar, and I write it only speaking of my experience, and it may have just been an off day, but I have yet to get the taste out of my mouth and when I do, I may try them again, but for now, no thanks, I'll stick with my regular disappointments before I spend money on...
Read moreDisappointing...I asked for garlic knots, get to Mendon and find cinnamon knots. Called staff offered a credit...well yeah I should get a credit considering I didn't get what I ordered but I want the knots tonight. Yes, the obligatory "I'm sorry" was stated...and they should be, it was their error. No other resolution was offered but for me to drive back to get what I ordered. So I did...no I wasn't happy when I arrived and was even more so when I received attitude. And was offered the credit AGAIN...no, I didn't drive back for a credit. I want what I ordered 😒. No sorries this time, rolling eyes and snotty attitude is what was offered. Which just made the situation worse. So what did I expect? The following (both on the phone and in person)...one possibility, "I am so sorry that happened, our drivers don't go to Mendon but could you meet him/her halfway?", another possibility, when I arrived "I apologize for this inconvenience, of course we'll replace your order and how about 1. Extra order, 2. A slice or 3. Here's a $5 gift certificate. Customer service is easy...it only becomes complicated when the staff either haven't a clue of how to mediate a situation OR won't take responsibility for their error and think the unhappy, inconvenienced customer is at fault. Ramuto's...your staff can do better than this...and...
Read moreJust today I ordered one pizza to be delivered to my house. The woman on the phone asked for my address three times, and I clearly stated it for her. She repeated back the street name to me, which was correct. She said it would arrive in 35 minutes. 35 minutes later I saw the delivery driver turn around in my neighbor's driveway (right next to me, we share a driveway that splits off to our respective houses at the top of a hill). The driver then completely left my street. I waited for about 10 minutes, then called Ramunto's. They said the driver must have gotten lost and asked for my address again (this time it was a different person on the phone). Another 20 minutes later I called them to say my order still hadn't been delivered, and it was the original woman on the phone. She then asked me if it was "30 blank Avenue." I told her no, it was 40 blank avenue as I had said four times before. She kept telling me they had "verified" my address before and that I had said yes it was 30... which I hadn't, because she had never repeated the number back to me except that time, only the street name. And I had literally said my address four times before. She was quite rude and certainly did not seem to believe she could have been at fault at all in this situation. I then told her to just cancel my order.
Terrible...
