Hello. I have so very much to say about this establishment. I have been coming into this place for a few months now to conduct a genuine review of how this place operates and the quality of food. This place absolutely is in the gutter. Sure, kids eat free and most parents will sacrifice anything for their kids especially to see them smile and not hungry. However, this place is full of garbage ingredients and nutrients. This place is the true definition of a fast food restaurant. They have an extremely poor staffing problem and I have recently heard that it’s under new management. I have high hopes for that person to turn this place around into something better. Breakfast time here seems to be heavily staffed as compared to the dinner period and you will notice that too eventually. I feel bad for people who might get hired amongst this period of nonsense as this place is a CORPORATE business and should get these things under control. As far as the waitresses/hostesses, they can’t get their food out in a timely manner and that is a LARGE part of dining in. I can’t seem to understand how they mess up an order either, you simply look at the food that is being served and bring it to the assigned table with the order? I have had 2-3 DIFFERENT waitresses bring me items that I didn’t order that I’ve had to send back. It feels as if they don’t care. Then when I got my actual food sometimes it was borderline cold. No one wants to sit around for 20-40 minutes waiting on cold hard pancakes or warm/cold food in general. When it comes to DoorDash and takeout food, I’ve seen COUNTLESS times where an “attempt” was made to get the food in the right bag but it seemed rushed and there was no second guessing as to what was going into these bags. I also have witnessed frustration from other customers who have takeout orders be LATE. Personally, as someone who used to do DoorDash it seems like a chain reaction is happening here because of either the cooks aren’t getting them out on time or the waitress/hostess is just not packaging it when they get a chance. But do they even get the chance? I don’t think so. They are constantly rushing around like ants trying to complete MULTIPLE jobs at once because of this short-staffing problem. When the doors get held for 20-30 minutes and they still have tables to clean, orders to take, orders to deliver, food to make, people to check out, tables to clean, floors to sweep. It can be overwhelming. I have also noticed a disconnect between the cooks and the front area around late night especially on weekends as when it gets extremely busy, a tension forms and I hear complaining from both ends. Cooks half-cursing, muttering about nonsense and waitresses being rude/dismissive towards customers. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO GET ITS ACT TOGETHER. Simple. There will be times where the food is good and other times where it’s down right bad. So if you want the BEST out of this place, come on a weekday. For the DoorDash people, if you have orders on a Friday or Saturday, don’t expect quality… expect quantities of dogshit. For the workers of the Dennys corporation, I wish you luck with this job and a wonderful life outside...
Read moreWent to this Denny’s in Rutland, Vt at 6pm 4/30/22. After the waiter took our order, we sat there for atleast an hour and a half waiting for our food. (We only ordered 2 dishes) I started to get impatient so I went up there to ask when are food is going to be done. The waiter then looked through a line of finished dishes that were just sitting there ready to be brought out, and then found our dishes and handed them to us. (that told me our food was probably sitting in that one spot for a while) when we FINALLY started to eat, we found that are food was cold. We figured since we were waiting an hour and a half that the least they can do is make the food hot but no, Wasn’t worth the very long wait at all. And after ALLL that we STILL didn’t get our milkshakes! I just went up to the counter and asked for them to go because I didn’t feel like waiting another hour. And I worked in food and customer service as a manager for years so I know how stuff should be. I also heard Atleast 5 people complaining about their food being cold and waiting a long time. I can’t tell you how many free meals I watched them give out that day because they kept messing up. Completely terrible service. All you could hear was the workers arguing as well. In the midst of all this mess, one of them was trying to go on break!! I was in shock that she was even thinking about a break at that time. I’m probably never coming back here, atleast at night. Don’t...
Read moreDON'T ORDER PAST 11PM, tried ordering multiple times past 11pm at the Denny's in Rutland Vermont and never got my food once even after calling the restaurant 20+ times each purchase. And then I had to deal with emailing different Denny's support emails just to get my money back. Very disappointing. I ordered online one time at around 11pm and went to pick the food up at 11:30pm and the doors were locked. I got on the phone and called the restaurant 17 times and no answer. Eventually a Denny's customer service guy picked up from Utah and he said that he'd call the restaurant and then put me on hold. After waiting 10 minutes while sitting in the parking lot on hold he came back and said that "the employees are on break" and that I should wait 20 more minutes until they get back. I ended up staying for an hour. No food. Waste of time and money. And my unintelligent mind a week later said "hey, I'll give Denny's a second chance, maybe they won't disappoint." And I placed a order for delivery at 11pm again and it said that the order would receive at 12:10am, I waited the hour and then some, order never came. And the order confirmation never changed from "order received" to "making food". Never got the food and just wasted more money and time. Don't order past 11pm or just don't order at all. The Rutland VT Denny's night staff gets paid...
