For years, running errands in the area, this location was a weekly stop. It wasn't totally for the food (though it was always prepared to be served hot, appear appetizing, delivered promptly and overall above standard and expectations of similar food chains)
Always with my son, he ate, while I sorted tasks i had done, and those i had yet to do., checking lists, balances my budget. Good days i just relaxed and enjoyed his company.
We went there because it was mid point, between stops, making it just a matter of convenience. We stayed because it felt safe, was always clean, and the staff were more than pleasant. They were kind, accommodating, sweet and a genuine pleasure to see them.
It has been a couple years since we moved, patterns shifted and have not been to that area since.
Last week on my current worksite, ideas to repurpose some outdated eyesores, an issue came up regarding worn stainless steel. Our customer service counter look to our worksite, the idea of resurfacing an enormous stainless steel customer access area that is too expansive to replace, too essential to remove, and too worn to ignore.
Take a chance, i thought, my early morning call to see if a manager could help me. The young lady who answered heard my situation, agreed to text photos of results the got resurfacing stainless steel, that would be perfect for my issue. She agreed that once it slowed down she would. No text or photos that day but i understand what busy days are. I left a msg the next day, at her convenience whenever she got a second i was still asking. Today realizing she may have lost my number, i more than eager wanting to offer to compensate her for her time, i called today and asked for the manager. I said that i had called earlier in the week , repeating my request while asking if she had an app i could send her money for texting photos. She laughed loudly and hung up. I called back and the line was answered as well as cut off in an instant. The third time they picked up the call i could hear giddy giggling like pre pre teen school girls. I would have thought any representative of the store, manager or otherwise, would have the maturity and professionalism to decline my request if the thought i was calling as a prank or something. 3 Separate calls, and not one si gle second did someone have the dignity to respond to me. I only repeated my attempts hoping an adult would catch on, realizing their staff was to juvenile to conduct themselves in a professional manner and represent their employer. In a more dignified manner. I was left knowing not only did their customer service lack in simple contact, to disrespect me so blatantly, disrespect their employer so shamelessly, but to neither of our faces, i would not trust the lack of integrity i encountered if i was counting on them to prepare my food. If they could so comfortably act that way when i am not in their presence, how might they choose to cowardly communicate themselves when i am standing opposite them at their counter? Today, thanks to the"manager" entrusted to run Carls Jr on this Sunday Morning Shift, every good thing i thought, and fond memory i had, is extremely suspect. I will not eat, recommend, nor be surprised if a story comes out about some immature, inconsiderate repulsive deed is delt out of that sight. Sadly the first young lady i called this week felt so genuine and responsible. I only hope she does not deal with that conduct directed at her i....
Read moreI placed an order through the drive through and ordered two kids meals and a chicken sandwich add cheese. Upon paying and receiving the food I noticed they charged me for a double cheeseburger and gave me the wrong sandwich. I politely let the lady at the window know, she was nice and advised me to keep it since I paid for it and it was more expensive than what I actually ordered and she would have them just make the correct chicken sandwich. Another employee by the name of Nancy then asked me to pull to the front to wait, she came and requested the double cheeseburger back (which I had opened and touched at that point) and gave me the chicken sandwich which was again made incorrectly. She did not even bring up a refund since they charged me more, needless to say since the original person said keep it since I paid more I then told Nancy I wanted a refund for the difference then. I work in HR and previously worked in food service, she had very poor customer service and was unsanitary as you should not being taking food back that was touched. Will not be returning or recommending this...
Read moreTaking my lunch break on the 4th of July. Stood at the front counter for almost one minute waiting for someone to serve me. Finally 1 of the teenagers working that day comes out of the bathroom talking on her cell phone and said Someone would serve me shortly. All other employees were out of sight in the back of the restaurant. Finally someone came out and took my order. The food was really good. The restaurant was surprisingly clean. The soda pop ratio was clearly off as my root beer Had way to much syrup. The person who brought my order out to the table was busy taking a drive-through order on her head set. I found the entire experience to be somewhat rude and unprofessional. As I sit in my vehicle writing this I can see the 1st girl I saw still talking on her cell phone standing in the front window. If I was the owner I would fire the entire crew. Then again I suppose if I was the corporate office I might fire this franchisee. Definitely...
