I am not someone to regularly order fast food except on very rare occasions. And we are talking about places along the lines of McDonald's, Taco Bell, and in this case, "Carl's Jr". They are notoriously known for making behemoth sized burgers and other artery-clogging comfort foods. The location I am focusing on is in the Greenhaven-Pocket of Sacramento directly on Florin Rd. (and in between Freeport Blvd/S. Land Park Dr) in the Bel-Air shopping center.

Since it has actually been a few years in eating their food, I decided on taking advantage of their breakfast items; especially with money saving coupons. This location is only a mile from my office so I figure why not consume a ton of calories in the early part of the day. My first visit, (on 7/29/2022) I ordered a "Steak & Egg Burrito" (at 600 calories) complete with charbroiled steak, scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, and fresh salsa, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. My second visit, (on 8/9/2022) I ordered their "Breakfast Burger" (at a whopping 830 calories). This burger packed a charbroiled all-beef patty, crispy bacon, scrambled egg, American cheese, hash rounds, & ketchup on a sesame seed bun.

Since both of these orders were made exclusively through the drive-thru (in between 7:35-7:45am), I can't disclose any information on the inside part of the restaurant. But this is a relatively new location (having been opened since late-2018) so it's got a nice clean exterior look. However, my order on both occasions was fairly quick with at least two vehicles were in front of me. The coupons were both order without any hiccups and I made my way to work.

As far as the burrito, this is just average in my opinion. There was not a whole lot of steak and I noticed more eggs than anything else. Either way, it was very filling and larger than the majority of fast food breakfast burritos. Now onto the breakfast burger; this thing was huge and definitely on the saltier side. I would not recommend this to anyone that is on a high calorie/high cholesterol diet. I just think its overkill when you have a beef patty, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. I guess the good news is that this will fill the majority of people throughout the morning where they won't be hungry when lunchtime comes around.

All in all, "Carl's Jr" is just average in my book. The commercials can be very deceiving as their food looks so mouth watering and delicious. As far as the regular menu items go, I do enjoy their Western Bacon Cheeseburgers and Six Dollar Burgers. But there are way better burger places out there ("In-N-Out", "The Habit") that are better than this. With that said and done, I am giving Carl's Jr just an average...

Wow what a miserable experience. Horrible customer service, incredibly overpriced, the food was the worst I had ever had from this franchise, and just a nightmare. I WISH I would have recorded the 5-10 minute wait where we just watched the employees leaning over their phones or talking with each other while we waited. I know it was that long because I had only a little bit of time left on my audiobook and was shocked when it finished before I was even talked to by an employee. Only for someone to come to the window, charge the card (which I realize now they didn't even read back the order to me or anything) and then go to make the order only to come back TWO MORE TIMES to ask what it was we wanted again. I may have gotten short with them for 1 sentence but I was so confused at that point because what the heck. Why am I watching employees mess around for almost 10 minutes (maybe 1 person in the lobby and I was 1 of 2 cars in the drive thru) and then be asked for my order again twice only to be given the worst quality I've ever received from a Carl's Jr. Didn't even offer to remake when I pointed out mistakes or complained and didn't even give me the refund the way I asked for it. I'm appalled at the behavior. I am normally pretty patient with customer service employees. I understand that working with the public is difficult and some days aren't easy but this is just unacceptable. I've worked in food service before (a total of 8 years) and I would have gotten a serious talking to from my manager had I done any of the things that took place there. Yeah I know it's a fast food place and what do you expect and all that but serioualy man. I'm sharing my experience in hopes something will change and/or I can help someone not experience what I went through. Waste of time, effort, money, and an all around...

I would have gave ZERO stars if i had an option. I believe it is the manager but i did not get her name as she closed the door in my face when i tried to explain myself… i knocked on the door after I realized they did not give me my medium drink at the drive through. i was not agitated at all. I knocked the door and waited the manager rolled her eyes and opened the door i just asked for my drink but I mistakenly said Large instead of medium. She came back with the drink demanding to see the receipt and tried to explain that she is right it was medium not large i just said it mistakenly and she hand me my drink rolled her eyes as she close the door in my face lol i mean thats not good customer service! The GM there need to fix the employees! And if the girl who closed the door in face is the GM work on yourself woman!! I wish had better to say about this place as this is the second time i had missing...

Carls Junior's has incredible quality for a fast food restaurant. Although the service is decent just like any other fast food join, the food and cleanliness of the place is superior. I ordered the Charbroiled Bbq Chicken Sandwich and added an extra patty and lettuce, and made it a meal by adding their delicious fried zucchini along with a drink. Everything was hot and mouthwatering just to get a whiff of, I highly recommend stopping by and ordering something from the drive thru to try, if you want the best from a fast food chain🍗🥪🥒🥤

Let me put it like this while I was in the drive thru lane the car in front of me ran out of gas so I got out of my truck and of course lent him a hand in pushing him to the window, and when I finished I walked back to my truck the guy in back of me said I happen to have a little emergency gas that he gave the man so I looked in my side mirror to see who it was and ill be it was the famous star! Wow..
