They are perfectly made, soft, and delicious. They remind me of my mom's cooking, and that's saying something! The Garlic Naan is also a must-try, as it's packed with flavor and complements the dishes perfectly. The Hope of a Buffet: While the buffet is currently unavailable due to the pandemic, it's a testament to the quality of the food that customers are eagerly waiting for its return. Once the buffet is back, I'll be here every day! It's clear that Darbar values its customers and is committed to providing a dining experience that is both enjoyable and safe. In conclusion, Darbar is a real hidden gem in East Sacramento, and one of the best Indian restaurants in Sacramento. The food is authentic, delicious, and cooked to perfection. Darbar Halal Restaurant Delicious but Overpowering Darbar Halal Restaurant in Sacramento offers a vast menu of Afghani and Pakistani dishes at very reasonable prices. The location is decent, and the facility itself is clean and well-decorated. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb, along with garlic and regular naan. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful, but unfortunately, the abundance of spices was a bit overwhelming. It wasn't necessarily spicy or hot, but the sheer volume of ingredients, including what seemed to be a significant amount of sugar, created a somewhat overpowering taste that might leave some diners with heartburn. Overall: Darbar is a great option for those seeking authentic and flavorful Afghani/Pakistani cuisine at budget-friendly prices. However, the intense spice blend might not appeal to all palates. Recommendations: * Consider milder options: If you're sensitive to strong flavors, inquire about milder alternatives or request the chef to adjust the spice level. * Try the bread: The naan, both garlic and plain, was excellent and a perfect complement to the curries. * Explore the menu: The extensive menu offers a wide variety of dishes, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The worst Viyajawada chicken biryani i have tasted. The worst dish award goes to their raitha, it was spoiled with too much pungent smell. I have never tasted such spoiled yogurt in my whole life. I had to vomit twice remembering the taste. I thought the batter around the chicken pieces was not cooked but when I checked it the chicken was also uncooked. I have no idea how no health inspectors caught these guys. I saw the reviews and ordered the food but honestly if you like to get sick 🤢 try these guys. If you cannot provide fresh food or if you dint have supplies please cancelnthe order but dont spoil our health. MY RATING 0/5 I gave a call to the restaurant he was like you are not the only customer. He said raitha was not bad after telling him how it was. One thing Mr. Owner, I am consuming raita or plain yogurt from 30 years every day. I know when its spoiled. I tried to inform you and request you not to use it in return you don’t have to back fire.

I visited this place at the beginning of March 2023 and I was a little disappointed. It was in a sketchy area. The very open room was not well heated so it wasn't comfortable. The decor wasn't cozy or inviting and the service was lacking. I don't think they understand what people in the States expect when they go out to pay good money for prepared food. Perhaps it would be wise to visit other highly praised restaurants to get some tips. They don't have to be expensive ones either. I know a lot of folks have praised the food in these reviews but I suppose that could be because they have never worked in any kind of dining establishment or don't do a lot of their own cooking or just simply have low standards. To be honest, the food wasn't bad but, it was not outstanding (not deserving of 5 stars). This type of cuisine isn't made to order so freshness is not an element here. It seems the recipes are about the availability of certain ingredients in impoverished environments with political turmoil so you'll pay $16 for a Biryani (goat) which is just a large plate of rice cooked with spices and about 8 ounces of semi-dry meat (and plenty of bone fragments.) It's on a large oval platter intended to be shared but, in this case, fed only one. I also ordered an appetizer of Somosas which didn't come out until I had finished the Biryani and went up to the counter to ask about my order. It didn't make sense that they would forget my order when the restaurant only had 3 people in it! The Somosas were ok but I was expecting a much greener, no cream, cilantro mint chutney. Theirs was meh. A nice low alcohol lager or pilsner would have made this a better meal not to mention increased revenue per check but, I understand it is halal. I wonder what would happen if they went a little haram. Sorry for the novel of a review. I do wish them good fortune and hope they improve. They seem like nice people. I just cannot in good conscience give...

I had the pleasure of dining at Darbar Halal Restaurant recently and I must say, the experience was made truly exceptional by the outstanding service provided by Abdul. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, Abdul greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel incredibly welcome.

What really stood out was Abdul's attentiveness to every single customer who walked through the door after us. Despite the rush of patrons, he managed to seamlessly attend to each and every one of them, ensuring that everyone felt valued and attended to promptly.

Once seated, Abdul took the time to thoroughly explain each dish on our platter, highlighting the flavors and ingredients with genuine enthusiasm. We indulged in a delightful spread, including the aromatic Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani, crispy and flavorful Samosas, rich and creamy Butter Chicken, and the refreshing burst of flavors in the Panipuri. Every dish was prepared to perfection and left us craving for more.

Throughout our visit, Abdul remained attentive, checking in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. His friendly demeanor and genuine care for his guests truly made us feel like valued patrons.

As we left the restaurant, Abdul took a moment to thank us for choosing Darbar Halal Restaurant, leaving us with a lasting impression of impeccable service and hospitality. Without a doubt, Abdul's dedication and professionalism elevate Darbar Halal Restaurant to a level of excellence that is truly commendable. We look forward to returning soon, eager to experience more of the exceptional service and delicious cuisine that Abdul and the team...
