It's alright. It's better than panda for sure, but isn't some amazing hole in the wall which I was hoping for based off the reviews. Score seems high truthfully.
For the price it's not bad I just wish you could do like a 2 item combo. I was told 10 minutes but food came out much quicker. Got salt and pepper chicken that's a first. Kinda sweet. Not really pepper. Kinda like a popcorn chicken tw style but without the heat and different set of spices. The batter was actually light and not oily. More tempura but not that light.
I wouldn't make a special trip for the food. It looks like you getting a whole lot but you ain't really with the fried food taking up space in the box.
Spring roll that's kinda sus. Kinda wet inside... Again not oily so that's on point.
2 og Asian dudes probably with burn marks up and down their arms working the wok. Got to give them respect for the craft.
Maybe more like 3.5 definitely not 4.3
Pros Quick Food comes out hot
Flavor Ok
Cons Not as big / heavy as...
Read moreMy first time trying this place, I ordered the dinner combos for myself and my family. We got walnut chicken, broccoli beef, orange chicken with an order of egg rolls. All of the plates came with a lot of chow mein and rice. The portions were really good but the quality of the food not so good. The broccoli in the broccoli beef and the egg rolls were the only thing that was good. The chow mein and rice were dry, hard and chewy, it tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. The chicken tasted like it was fried twice so parts of it were like chicken jerky and bland in flavor. The egg rolls came with cream cheese wontons, the edges on the cream cheese wontons were hard. My kids normally gobble up their Chinese food but today, neither finished their plate. There is no area to sit to eat, you pick up food and go. The staff was nice; normally the small spots are the good spots but not today, I get better quality food at fortune on 12th ave. We won’t...
Read moreI had high expectations for this place as reviews were decent. I ordered a dinner plate half chow mein and half fried rice. I chose kunpao chicken as my entree and was only slightly impressed. The veggies in it were on point but the chicken was just dissapointing. I don't know what is wrong with many Chinese food restaurants here in sac that many of them use that rubbery, grissly, pieces of what they think is chicken. The fried rice was definitely the best thing on the plate. Chow mein was just ok, flavor and noodles were a bit funky. They give you a veggie roll and a crab cheese rangoon. The veggie roll was crunchy but a bit stiff. The rangoon tasted great but the filo dough was not crunchy. This meal was about $10, and even though you get a good portion of food, I don't think I would return to this place. They need to put in real edible chicken in the dishes to get my business back. Wouldn't mind paying a little more for...
