El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Sacramento

Today, after work I used the drive through at El Pollo Loco to order some chicken before heading home. I ordered 2 chicken breast and 1 chicken leg. The ordering was quick and easy. The cashier was nice and pleasant. When arrived home (I live in Natomas), I opened the my food and to my surprise there was only 2 pieces of chicken in my box. I check my receipt to make sure I was not mistaken, because I could have only ordered two pieces of chicken and on the receipt it shows that I was actually charged two chicken breast and 1 chicken leg. I should have checked my order before leaving the drive through window, but I had felt confident they would have my order correct given I only ordered 3 pieces of chicken. Atrocious is the only word to describe it. What a turn around since they opened. A once amazing restaurant is not only the most disgusting food I've had, but the wait time for it was astonishing. I'm trying to figure out what I was waiting for. The chicken was old. Barely luke warm. They ran out of rice, so I had to have corn, which was barely warm. While the black beans were hot, it was more juice than actual beans. So I guess I was waiting for bean juice. The cashier was pleasant. Management on the other hand sounded unpleasant in the background. Will never go back. I understand we're going through unprecedented times, but that doesn't mean you should lack quality. I just went through the drive thru and ordered a bowl with no beans and extra rice. The lady at the drive thru was not nice when I had asked her for a side of onions. Nonetheless I got my food and checked it before leave the property and the bowl had beans and no onions or sauce as I had asked and paid extra for. I walked in and the register person was very kind offering to get me a new one. However, I watched them take my bowl back, packed it in a new bag and handed it back out the window to a new drive thru customer. This is completely and utterly disgusting and against any fast food regulations to even take back food that I could have opened and ate (which I didn’t). I will NEVER be eating at this...
