Take it from someone who knows..., for those of you, who may have 'outstanding' traffic matters or issues and have been, shall we say 'reluctant' to address them, for/from sheer "FEAR" and paranoia that they'll be arrested tried, flogged and taken off to jail as one of America's Most Wanted, prepare to have your whole world turned upside down. These people are ANGELS, simply "masquerading" as sheriffs, clerks, judges,etc... . No joke and about as relieved and pleasantly surprised as "You'll" be, when you go. EVERYBODY, (sure there's maybe an exception somewhere... usually is), every single person was on their best behavior and like a neighbor or ain't or uncle, the Magistrate herself was like everybody's 'big sister', and they'll even tell you that the very last thing they wanna do is lock you up. You're confronted with compassion, consideration and exceptional treatment, IN YOUR FACE. There's nothin you can do but be (undeservedly?) Happy! No jail, no fines that send you to the poorhouse, no stripping you of your dignity or humanity, just a bunch of very knowledgeable and down to earth people ready to treat you like family and get you to a better place. Stop putting it off. Go! They even have bathrooms for the extra...
Read moreIf zero was an option, I’d give it a negative ten. Please avoid this place like the black plague. We gave our pre-filled out paperwork to the clerk who told me to see the judge. The rude and self-important judge, although overall a kind man, pretended that I was far inferior to him and waste of his precious time. The judge refused to give me a discount, although the county website gave explicit instructions on how to get one.
Later, realizing his pomposity, that I did in-fact do what I was supposed to, he granted me the discount. Only after enduring the cold atmosphere, where one feels that one could be detained for simply looking back at one of the cold glances from the emotionless personnel. The law enforcement officers were actually pleasant this time around.
If you have to go, smile, nod, be respectful and compliant, but assert your rights. And don’t give up. But follow directions. If you’re asked to leave the courtroom, do it. But then make a complaint or advocate for your rights...
Read moreWait for hours, one person gets called to a window then they all break for lunch. Why?!!!! They lock you out of the building for an hour - your chance to re-feed your parking meter. You have to guess how long you're going to be there. When they let you back in after lunch, they take people out of sequence, so you have to wait while they help people who arrived HOURS after you did. They provide no place to fill out the forms they give you. Huge fancy building, but all of the counter space is for employees. They have lots of security staff, but then allow one of their employees to leave an unattended backpack next to the parking machines. What a JOKE. It's all about the convenience of the people who work there. Those of us who are supposed to be the beneficiaries of the system are treated like second class citizens. Also - in any kind of court case, be sure to insist on a REAL judge. The fill-in wannabe judges haven't been made real judges for a reason. They don't know what...
