This was a quaint place to eat. The servers were very nice (college age), probably the nicest thing about the experience. Their TVs and their featured shows, including food and extreme sports, were also a very nice touch. The white frescoes on the wall are all dirty and need some retouching. We ordered Shoyu and Tonkatsu Ramen; both weren't plated quite right (toppings were on the bottom instead of the top), and the heat near the noodles was missing a bit as a result. I was hoping for something coming out that had the right temperature and balance. The taste was pretty good though and not too salty 😋. We also ordered the garlic shrimp rice plate and it was good with the rice (otherwise the saltiness would have been overwhelming). Overall the food was decent but certainly left us uninspired. Admittedly we are spoiled by the quality of great Ramen in the SF Bay Area, like Orenchi (South Bay) and my personal favorite the Ramen Shop (Berkeley).
Finally we ordered a black milk tea (no boba, they ran out of boba). It was... sour. Seemed like the milk was turning or the tea wasn't quite right, so we had a few tiny sips and left it (didn't want to chance it). They served Romaine on the rice plate and we also left that aside given recent concerned about salmonella. The very nice young man who served is didn't have any idea where the lettuce came from, not that it was his responsibility necessarily to know. We had a good experience here but certainly not good enough to motivate us to come back. We'll try some other places as they crop up in the hopes that we can find something worth...

We went in for lunch around 1215. Place wasn't empty but it definitely wasnt full. I ordered a large milk tea with boba and my wife ordered a water. I received a regular milk tea which was later corrected to have boba. The water had a very strong iron flavor to it. We ordered two of their special rolls, an arena roll and tiger roll, and a seasoned edamame. The edamame came out pretty quickly but was very lacking of salt and was a little dry. It just needed a little something more and it could have been excellent. The two rolls came out and looked amazing! They were large rolls and presented very well. They were tightly rolled and stayed together when we ate them and the fish was tasty. But that's where it ended. The wasabi and ginger were stale, bland, dry, and didnt have much flavor at all. One roll had jalapenos diced on top and they might as well have been soggy bell peppers. We finished our meal but didnt get a check so we just went to the counter to pay. We were charged for the large boba tea when we got the regular and then they had to correct it to add the boba after we asked.
Pros: large rolls, well crafted rolls, decent fish, friendly service.
Cons: lacking of flavor, lacking of freshness, incorrect order, incorrect bill, not the...
Read moreCame here after seeing multiple raving reviews. After standing at the waiting area for 2 minutes being ignored by staff, finally a voice from behind a wall said “sit wherever”. While our order was being taken, waiter just walked off when he believed we were done ordering. Plates were never cleared from the table when we were done with each portion. Didn’t wait too long for food but when it came we immediately noticed it was all absolutely drenched in sauce. Rolls had very little flavor and sadly Safeway Sushi gave this a run for it’s money. Wasn’t busy inside but staff never checked in on us or asked us if we needed anything or refilled our waters. Salmon skin hand rolls were actually above par and the reason this review is getting one star. Had to flag down a staff member when we were ready for the check and when my card was brought back to me, it was sat down in front of the table without a word said. Sadly it was an awful experience where we began feeling a bit uneasy in our stomachs during our meal. Maybe they were having an off day and maybe our server was training but sadly it was not a...
