I went into Subway today to participate in National Sandwich Day. Buy one, get one with a purchase of a drink. I ordered a footlong tuna and chicken sandwich got to the register and was charged $18.23. I asked the the lady and the guy well don't I get a free sandwich since I purchased a full sandwich with a drink ? There response was No its only a 6in sandwich order to receive a free sandwich. I asked and clearly pointed while reading them them the Subway advertisement that states "any sub" in the language of the advertisement , I told them that not what it states . She responded with there is only a picture of a 6in subway on the ad so that the only way you can order and get a free sandwich because that what they are honoring . I told her there are no exclusions or fine print that states this is only applies to a 6in sandwich order . However the lady seemed annoyed and wanted me to leave and did not answer my questions. I am completely outraged and disgusting by this store service and disregard for customers and directly frauding customers. I will not return to this store and will make sure I call cooperate headquarters in the morning to let them know of this matter and I will also be posting a Google and Yelp reviews so other people can be aware of the scam this store seeming to be conducting. I tried to use a coupon there and the scan machine wasn’t working so instead of trying to assist me or manually type in the coupon the worker accused me of lying saying that I must’ve already used the coupon once before. When I showed her another coupon I had and tried to use it, she finally saw it was a glitch with the system and not me. Eventually the original coupon scanned but then she got a message saying she couldn’t use it and just tossed the coupon back at me and attempted to take the sandwiches away as if I wasn’t going to pay. I finally asked her why I couldn’t use the coupon and she said “some error with the franchise I guess”. Read moreI went in for my pickup order and as I was standing there waiting on the one and only employee there to give me my order , I was shocked at what I was seeing. The employee was allowing the customer she was helping to touch every foot long bread with her bare hands. I was confused as to why she was letting her touch and examine every foot long bread since she was a customer and was not wearing a glove. This was nasty and I was thinking whyyy would this be ok. Don't even know if this customer had washed her hands but still that's gross 🤢. I asked why she would let someone do that especially when these are given out to other customers.
