Forgotten Bakery = chewy, hand-rolled bagels & guava empanadas that slap. Order ahead. 🥯✨
Seriously, listen: if you think bagels are just glorified bread rings, Forgotten Bakery will personally ruin that opinion — in the best possible way. This tiny corner shop shows up like a culinary mic drop with hand-rolled, beer-fermented bagels that snap on the outside and chew like they’ve been training for the Olympics.
People keep saying “best bagels I’ve had,” and honestly? No lies detected. 😍
The menu is gloriously focused: messy, joyful bagel sandwiches, empanadas that actually taste like home, and a couple of surprise drinks that hit. The guava-cheese empanada is a tropical one-night stand you won’t regret. 🥯🥟
This is not your grab-and-go caffeine hookup. Forgotten is a slow-food flirt: small footprint, outdoor seating only, a parking lot that plays hard to get, and counter orders that can take 20–35 minutes on busy weekends. Pro tip: order online — internet orders sprint out the door while counter orders enjoy a leisurely existential crisis. ⏳📲
Bottom line: go if you love craft, texture, and bold flavors — bring patience and a parking backup plan. Forgotten Bakery is small, proud, and deliciously worth the hassle.
How I break down my ⭐️ reviews: 1 - Not if it was the last thing on DoorDash. 🗑️ 2 - Meh. Maybe if I’m close, and high. 😬 3 - Mid. Not texting the group chat about it. 🤷♀️ 4 - Hella solid. Planning my next visit. 😋 5 - Shut up! Take my money....
Read moreI have wanted to try this place for sometime & today was the day! Forgotten Bakery did not disappoint. Everything I tried was amazing & the quality of the ingredients were top tier. The owner Robbie was a true gem. He is super nice. I was a little hesitant to try the Lavender White chocolate iced latte as I don’t like overwhelming lavender drinks or artificial tasting. He told me about the brand they use and using only a small amount of lavender so it’s not overpowering. Well the drink was amazing & he even came over to ask how I liked it. We chatted a bit & he explained some over the ordering/suppliers. Their lox comes from a place in Santa Barbara. They are local owners and really take price in this company it’s felt through their food. Everything we tried was 10/10.
Prices might seem high but the quality & they do not skimp on product. I hope their business continues to grow & possibly open a new location closer to me! 😊

Read moreGreat friendly local bakery and eatery. So far I have had the pleasure of having a few different bagels. All of which were delicious. And a few different empanadas. Make sure you are prepared. As a fast food place used to say " if it is not all over the place then it doesn't belong in your face" . If you are not prepared then you might end up with a sizable portion of your empanada on your lap, and I guarantee that you will be more upset about the missing fillings than the mess and stain on your lap. Real reasonable prices especially when you consider the time and what it takes to make it for you. They could easily charge double and more if they were located in midtown. What makes it even better for me and maybe you too is that they converted the old Sea Shanty into the bakery and if you are from the area then you might remember it. Fortun ately for me, I used to live right down the street and had the pleasure of having my after work cold one inside on more than a few occasions . And I must add that I was quite pleased to see them repurpose the old watering hole with a new one in the same box rather than tearing it down and building a new one. Another plus in my book. So, do yourself a favor as well as them and take a chance. I'm pretty sure that you will be quite pleased with...
