Mother Lode Bar & Deli — Restaurant in Sacramento

I first went to The Mother Lode Bar about 5 or more years ago. I thought it was Great! It was a diamond in the rough. The bar had a full house, the people were all so friendly , The bartenders were very Friendly and when the Karaoke started It made the time spent there so much more fun. I have been there a few times recently and didn't really enjoy it . Thought I would try one more time and went to The Mother Lode again this past Friday and I had the WORST EXPERIENCE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ANYMORE . THE BARTENDER WAS/IS SO RUDE . My friends and I had just walked in and literally 2 minutes later the bartender started insisting we buy a drink . 2 drink minimum. And just kept hounding us. I asked her for water and she ignored me . The bar was close to empty and the people there were mostly men and about 3 women whom were obviously friends of hers. ( the bartender). That was 3 strikes for me . I wouldn't recommend, The Mother Lode Bar to anyone. At least not anymore. Aside from getting rude service from the bartender, The drinks are expensive too. I always have a great time at the Mother Lode Bar and Grill! The lady co-owner is always there and is very knowlegable about the the history of the bar. The movie "Barb Wire" was shot in Sacramento, and the Mother Lode Bar was the films main location. Also, before becoming a bar in the '60's or '70's, the Mother Lode Bar was a genuine General Store, and has also had old time style gas pumps right out front. Lastly, and what firmly plants the special place in the Modern era, is the bars fantastic sound system--Engineered and installed by the legendary Professor of Rock himself, which breathes fire into the hosted Kareoke show every Wednesday thru Saturday nights, and Staring You! A local bar in the neighborhood I moved to The atmosphere is friendly welcoming and enjoyable.
