The pizza was disguised as a box fan and brought into the Great Sacramento River Pizza Cook off in a wheelbarrow full of firewood. It was my pal Enzo Tosstaroni that said "If I could get a Papa Murphy's Pizza into the Cook Off..I'd win 1st place!" So...it was set! A trio of Belly Dancers caught the attention of everyone there long enough to slip the Papa Murphy's Pizza onto the cutting board next to the mobile wood burning pizza oven just minutes before the start. Well.. We pulled it off, now it was up to Enzo and the Papa Murphy's Pizza! Read moreI ordered a stuffed pizza with chicken. I didn't get any chicken on my pizza and it was flat not stuffed. They told me on the phone they would replace it the next day because I could not return the same day due to no transportation. Then when I came in the next day in a lyft just for them to say they could not replace it because the manager said no. So I got a ride up here for them to only gave me $5 off my next pizza for a pizza I paid $20. Also told me if I brought the pizza back I would have gotten a free replacement pizza but did not tell me that over the phone because I still have the no meat pizza at home. The owner is very cool, he hires good people, and I’ve never been disappointed (well, there was that one time when I was taking my large Murpy’s Combo out of the oven and pulled the cutting board out too far - bad evening). As long as I’m eating at home or have access to an oven on the road, I’m not paying $30 to $40 dollars for a cooked pizza. At Murphy’s I can get a large pie, salad and leave a tip for the kids and still not spend $25. Haven’t missed the cutting...
