Sbarro — Restaurant in Sacramento

Ordered stromboli plus 2 breadsticks and sauce plus additional breadsticks for the family...via doordash...when my order was picked up I got an email saying I got a refund of 1.00 because the 2 breadsticks+ sauce were out of stock (nothing about the extra breadsticks I ordered)....so they replaced it with a slice of pizza (5 dollar value)....but the 2 breadsticks and sauce was 3 dollars and change....plus the additional breadsticks which I believe came to 6 or 7 dollars (honestly we were only ordering for the breadsticks which I told my husband we cant have an order delivered with just 7 dollar ticket price, it would be silly...which is why we ordered 1 stromboli plus 2 breadsticks and sauce to bring the ticket price up)...so I actually got ripped off. And doordash and sbarro altered the receipt and when i tried recalling the breadstick prices on the app for sbarro the breadsticks were nowhere to be found. So...basically I have no proof that they ripped me off. Tried to call sbarro, it's a cell number which the cell has been powered off and the voice-mail box isn't set up (great idea mr owner). In the future, don't substitute an order unless it is truly equal value. Maybe just cancel it all together would have made more sense, or just send the stromboli and refund the rest...a little upset because I know I was over charged for what I actually received and no way to remedy the issue through doordash or sbarro. Poor manager decision made on this order, what were...

I've worked near the mall for almost 20 years. I've spent many of my lunches in the Arden Fair food court. This Sbarro in Arden Fair has had the same issues and management for most of my 20 years. Bad service Most of all, bad management.

Last week this new employee of theirs, white guy don't know the name, was helping a young special needs teen, and mentor who looked to be explaining each step of the process of how to purchase a piece of pizza likely the first time. The new employee recognized the special needs case, he took the time and was very very patience, it was impressive.

THEN HIS MANAGER PUNISHED HIM!

Her name is Mary, she's in charge, has been for some years. she punished him for "taking so long" as soon as that customer walked away. He looked devastated, and all the spunk and drive he had when I started my meal was just.. gone.

New guy, you were fantastic. Mary, that was cold hearted and cruel.

This review is to warn you not to even sit near this place, unless you enjoy watching and hearing bad management crush...

We Ate Here For Our 30th Anniversary. Which Was Sunday, October 31, 2021. We Had Two Combination Meals. Which Consisted Of The Following. 2 Meatballs With Sauce In Top Chopped Up By Me & Mixed In There Awesome Amazing Delicious Ziti Pasta With There Tomato Marinara Sauce On Top. We Had 2 Slices Of Pizza, 1 Each. Bread Sticks Dipped In There Leftover Meatball & Ziti Pasta Sauce. We Had 2 Ice Waters, 1 Each & 2 Sodas, 1 Soda Each. Our Male Server & Cashier Was Helpful & Friendly. We Use To Eat At Sbarro Eatery Inside Vallco Fashion Park Mall, Cupertino, California When We Were Teenagers. This Food Is Still Excellent & It Took Us Back To When We Were Teenagers. It Was Amazing, Awesome, Wonderful, Fantastic, Fabulous, Superb, Devine, Delicious & One Moment In Time Memorable.
