Health inspectors close Sacramento boba shop Happy Lemon, 3660 Crocker Drive in Sacramento, had nine violations on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. There was no hot water at any of the boba shop’s sinks during Wednesday’s inspection. Sacramento County regulations require that the water temperature at food facilities should reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit. “Dried residue” was on the lower shelf of a table in the back preparation area, and there were dusty particles on the vent covers on the front of the ice machine, the inspection report said. Extremly disappointed 😞 most undercooked Boba I'VE EVER HAD! Rock hard, with a small amount of slimy exterior. Boba should be mildly sweet with a gelatinous texture that provides a satisfying chewiness. But these were nothing like that, also, my brown surgery milk tea, had all the brown surgery glossed up on the bottom and not spread along the Inside of the cup. I came to look at reviews to see if anyone else got sick recently at this location. My suspicion is confirmed that me and my sons vomiting and diarrhea was caused by the drinks we consumed. Our systems started shortly after drinking a mango tea and a black tea with salt cheese. There’s another review saying they had the same symptoms but they ordered different drinks so maybe the water is contaminated or a person who works there isn’t washing their hands. I’ve been sick now for over 24 hours and have symptoms of Giardiasis. The only time I’ve ever been this sick in my life is when our water supply was contaminated with fecal matter in Afghanistan.
