Bento Box | Fair Oaks — Restaurant in Sacramento

So I attempted to give this place another try. So it’s been a minute. To my disappointment, things have only gotten worse the sesame chicken salad, which is basically the only item that I’ve ever gotten here really is now basically a side salad! It used to be a box of lettuce with some blanched veggies, and the Katsu chicken and now I am not joking when I say it is literally two spaces of the to go box filled with a little bit of lettuce and some vegetables. WOWI!!! What! Are you seriously kidding me you have skimped out on freaking lettuce! This is absolutely crazy to me!! of all the things that you could have reduced portion on why a salad, why the lettuce ??!?

I understand the times are tough… but when you reduced the size of you salads and charge $4 more for them its crazy to not provide additional 1 dressing for it if the customer asks. I asked for 1 additional sauce and was told for one little container it’s $1! My salad, basically tasted like nothing, because there was barely any dressing on it. That is an outrageous cost. I’ve been coming here for years and unfortunately it’s changed for the worse. I know that things are different but change the right way. You can tell that customer service is no longer here. Forget this place. Go somewhere else that still has decent customer service.

Additional notes: the owner replied, and left a number that is to the exact same location that I went to, and said to call, but the owners are never at that location. They’re always at a different location as far as what the staff said. Exactly what I’m talking about. No real customer resolution or customer service....

Never again at Bento Box at Loehman’s Plaza. I asked for extra sauce for the teriyaki chicken in the combination plate. First it was annoying being charged for sauce when historically, they never give enough sauce to begin with & this time the chicken was dry. Being charged for the sauce, I complained to the manager, BRUCE who said this is how the chicken is made and went on and on and on about how it is not the staff’s fault. I finally had to stop him and reminded him that it is only about the sauce. BRUCE was defensive, obviously upset, and finally I had to repeat myself…it’s only about the sauce (I was thinking calm down). I only want more sauce for the dry chicken and why are you charging me? This nickel and diming for sauce is irritating, then when I told the manager to stop talking bc it is only about the sauce, and I really want to be left alone to eat, BRUCE threatened to 86 me. What? I will 86 myself! This manager is nuts. Second, I could not get pass the sauce & dry chicken issue to talk about the dry burnt pieces of beef that looked and tasted like left over waste. Food is great. Unfortunantly last night I ordered for a pick up. According to the prices for this restaurant on their own website, my order should have come out to $43.22+tax. My actual charge was $56+tax. When I asked about the disparity in prices, I was told that new prices have been in effect for a long time, and that the prices advertised in their website are no longer the correct prices(bait and switch and illegal in California). Deluxe combo plate says its $15.99 on their website, and I was charged $23. I was charged $1 and $2 more than advertised for the rolls, and $2.50 more than advertised for the pot stickers. Either the employees are ripping g off th3 customers and charging them more at checkout, or the owners are in on the scam.
