I wanted to give this place more than 5 stars but I couldn't. The place itself is alright, I get that its a korean establishment but I've been to some before and the ambience was a lot cleaner. The service wasn't bad but it wasn't something I'd rave about. I ordered a hot stone bibimbap and it was good! I had no complaints with my dish at all hence the 3 stars. The House Ramen my husband ordered on other hand.... it was not even close to three stars. There was only one piece of pork, it was not fully cooked like other ramen it was just soggy and lost at the bottom of the bowl, you had to fish it out. The eggs did not taste fresh, the broth tasted off, maybe even old. I told the server about it in a nice way. I explained that the ramen was just not good and that we did not touch it fully. We left the entire bowl full to the rim, and server told me "Next time you come you can try a different soup" ... sis? I am NOT coming back. Definitely not 🤣 I wish she would have just acknowledged the soup not being good, and not suggest the purchase of another soup for 'next time'. Anyways, this place is known for the chicken so maybe I should have gone with that, but I wanted to try their other things as well. Maybe I will return to give the chicken a...
Read moreAte dinner here tonight & was very pleased with the fantastic crispy chicken, cheddar fries & cinnamon iced tea. We shared a half order of chicken (3 legs, 3 wings) & it was plenty for two people & the wings & legs were hot, huge, & juicy. The cheddar fries have a powdered cheddar topping like the packets you get in a mac & cheese boxed mix & they were hot & delicious. Everything was cooked to order & arrived fresh & hot. The chicken came with pickled radish chunks which were delicious & a nice addition. I had never had cinnamon iced tea & it was very refreshing & not too sweet; I would order it again. The staff is very friendly accommodating & the place is very clean. We asked for extra napkins & were given more plus a small packet of wet wipes. The outdoor patio is nice & we’ll try it next time. I think this restaurant is family owned & I hope they are deservedly successful. We...
Read moreLooking for authentic Korean Fried Chicken in the Sacramento area? This is the place! I’ve been looking for Green Onion Korean Fried Chicken in this area and Vons Chicken hits the spot beautifully.
The boneless half order is a very generous size and the price is very fair! The side dishes are much better (corn salad and pickled radish) than the other franchised Korean Fried Chicken restaurants in the States that usually includes one side.
I also tried the “Spicy Rice Cakes” side order. It’s tasty, and has a similar vibe to Tteokboki but it’s a bit too sweet to be it. However, I love the “char” of the rice cakes having that slightly crispy but chewy texture. It reminds me of grilling/roasting rice cakes back in the day.
Go to this place for your Korean Fried Chicken needs! In fact, if you want fried chicken in general, this place won’t...
