I’ll start with the one thing I like about the arden Orangetheory. Their location. I was originally a midtown member and was thrilled when I heard another was opening right next to my house. Unfortunately, it was a different owner but I thought I’d stop by their tent and check it out as they were getting the location set up. I told the guy about my situation how I was already a member. He said no problem I could cancel my existing Orangetheory membership and join this new location and get the founding rates which would save me about $200 a year, since this new location is closer to my house it would be ok. This all happened two months before the location opened. I cancelled my existing membership a month in advance and had a couple days without a membership but was able to go to two free classes before the arden location opened on Friday, that was nice. No mirrors in the weight room which I didn’t like and asked about, no plans to get mirrors in the future either. I also confirmed two times about when my automatic withdrawal would be, it was the Friday they opened. Friday went by, so did the weekend and nothing was taken out. Super bummed because I go to Orangetheory all the time and wasn’t able to sign up for any classes. I ended up calling the arden location finally on Sunday because still nothing from them. They blamed the midtown location and said “midtown location wasn’t letting their previous members get the new arden founding membership and that I had to call them”. I was put in the middle. Midtown went above and beyond to help me. I had asked the manger at arden to have the owner call me, she had a little bit of an attitude after I asked. Chance called and left a very nice voicemail, I called him back and had to leave a voicemail but didn’t hear anything back. So I’m back at midtown. Love that location. I’ll drive out of my way to go there. Someone also left a review and said how great Joe is, I agree he’s one of my favorite coaches but he’s at midtown not arden and again I will drive the distance to midtown to have a better workout...
Read moreThe experience from the beginning at Arden OTF was so welcoming and informative. I spoke to Taylor on the phone and let her know I had never been to OTF but wanted to try it. She was extremely informative and accommodating. On the phone she scheduled my first class and provided me with all of the necessary information to get started. A few days before, I received a text message confirming my workout date and time. When I arrived the day of my workout both Ben and Taylor were so welcoming and again, informative. They set me up and got me ready for the workout. The instructor Conner was great. He brought all of the new clients into class before it officially started and explained how everything works -the band, the treadmills, row machines, weights, etc. Being able to go through things before the class started make me feel much more comfortable and less anxious about the class. The workout itself kicked my butt but it was ideal because one really can go at the pace that is comfortable for them. It was all around a 5...
Read moreI did a free trial class here and it was awesome. I’ve never felt so welcomed at a trial class. The staff are super friendly. They contacted me to make sure the appointment I scheduled worked for me and rescheduled with me. They didn’t push a membership at the end which I appreciated. I love this style of work out. It’s somewhat a go at your own pace, but the stats help motivate you if you have any kind of competitive streak. I was challenged and sore, but it was manageable. The instructor Kim had a fun rock playlist and was super nice and calm. I have a migraine condition, though, so unfortunately the loud music mixed with mic’ed instructor on top of it (not lowering volume while speaking) was enough noise to trigger a headache over the course of the class. This tends to be the case with most classes I try because it’s pretty much the culture. If there were a drop in option I could see myself coming to a class here and there when I lose the motivation to work...
