I bring my dog here everyday. It is wonderful. Enjoying the water where he can go swimming, plus has great trails. During the summer time there are a lot of foxtails and you have to be careful of rattlesnakes. However there are foxtail masks that you can buy for your dogs. They can swim, drink water, play with the ball. It does not interfere with any activity it just protects them from foxtails. Also during the summer time you don't want to allow your dogs to run in the areas that have a lot of brush because snakes can be hidden in that area. The bottom line is you just have to be cautious. I've been going there for 21 years and I've never seen a rattlesnake. Because I'm cautious. With that being said I still recommend this area to bring your dogs. This is off topic but I still feel the need to say this to people who have dogs who put their dogs in the bed of the truck.. If you have a truck please, please don't put them in the bed of your truck. Put them in the cab. It is very, very dangerous to have your dog ride in the back of the truck. If they have to be in the back of the truck at least have them in a carrier securely fastened to the side of the truck. Remember it is against the law but more importantly your dog can fall out of the truck, and get hurt or worst get hit by a car and die. People who put their dogs in the back of the truck are not responsible dog...

My nana lived on Sandburg until her death in the 80s. I fondly remember her backyard was full of citrus trees. Oranges, tangerines, lemons, grapefruit, ect. She also has a round clothing line outside that spun. A covered patio. You go to the very back right corner there was a gate. You climb a short hill to get to the levee. What a beautiful view too see!! Trees, the river & Cal Expo!! In her front yard she had what we called the "cork" tree. She would tap the tree..put a small spout in it & hang a small tin can to collect the "sap"..she would "magically" turn the "sap" into theost delicious syrup for pancakes! Once done tapping..she would plug the holes with small pieces of cork..hence the name " cork tree"!! I love & miss you dearly Nana (Marcia Stromberg). You & Bompa are both greatly missed! And Bompa..I still remember sitting on your lap as a small child..helping you decide on which of the many flavored tobacco's you should put in your pipe (cherry was my favorite)!! The park , pools, river are still pretty much the same (except now the pool has a waterslide).. It is still very cheap to swim. And they are open from morning...

Where it all went down. Where we unlearned what was taught to us by the system. Where we broke the law and it was morally correct. Where we were overtly disobedient and our participatory expression as functioning us citizens was to do this as a civil duty in a functioning Democratic society as established by the founding fathers of this great nation and writers of our unique and beloved constitution . Glen Hall Park was and is the gateway to paradise, the name given to a beach we all recognized as a spot on the only American River in California, where gold was found and statehood emerged from. We all partied hard at that beach celebrating life and liberty, where we pursued happiness. We fried balls, caught monsters and skimmed into the setting sun whenever possible, and did it with style like a true...

So Dutchess and I wanted to do something spontaneous and go somewhere we have not been before and ended up at Paradise Beach.. From our experience there for the first time it was nice & clean indefinitely dog friendly.. it was out of spare moment the we didn't have too much time to do stuff but walk around a little bit and so far we like it and are going back to explore More I'm pretty sure in the summertime it's going to be beautiful I give it A+ plus so far..

Food truck mania was a hit! Faves were Rudy's Hideaway and Flavor Face. Water was $1 at the beer tent. Dogs and kids had a great time. Next time I'll bring a soccer ball and burn some beer calories off.
