We are disappointed with the customer service from Tony and BedCo. We placed an order for what we thought was a grey couch in store back in May 2021 and at that time was reassured by the sales representative, Giovani, that we may get it in July 2021. With this information we felt confident with moving forward with the purchase as we wanted it to arrive before our wedding in September. Tony informed us later that day that we were misinformed and instead will receive it later in August and reassured us that we would receive it before our wedding in September 2021. We wanted our place to be furnished for our guests. He did offered the model on the floor, but we were not able to use that style in our living room so declined that offer. September 2021 came, but we did not receive the couch. At this point, we had waited long enough and decided to continue to be patient and hoped for arrival and delivery news a lot sooner. It finally arrive today 12/01/21 and upon examining it, we discovered it was brown instead of grey. Giovani who handle the sale also happened to do the delivery and reviewed the photos we took on our cellular devices to the one delivered and also agreed it was a different variation of color from the one in the photos. Giovani suggested for us to contact Tony and inquire about restocking and delivery fees if we were to return and swap the couches for another one. At this time, Giovani mentioned since the purchase was over $600 that there wouldn't be a delivery fee. Tony returned our call and informed us that the couch delivered was the model ordered and that Giovani did not know what he was talking about in terms of the color and delivery fee. Tony referred him to "just the delivery person" yet Giovani's name was listed as a "sales representative" on our receipt. Tony would not waive the delivery fee to swap the couch despite the couch being unopened, arriving months later than informed, and the couch not being the color we saw in store. We are unable to return or swap without extra fees and now stuck with the couch that was delivered. We made the mistake of going to BedCo after such positive reviews, but after this experience, I would call this place BadCo. Please take your furniture shopping experience elsewhere where they respect you as a customer and your experience with their services. We will not be returning as a customer nor will we refer others to this establishment.
Edited: Clearly Tony's response is unprofessional and speaks volumes itself. We are aware of the additional costs for either restocking or delivery and our point is, we should not have to pay any additional fees. Furthermore, Tony apologizes, but takes no ownership whatsoever regarding his staff nor himself. Yes, the pandemic delayed items, but we made the mistake to trust Tony and BadCo when we called for updates regarding the order as each update provided dates that made it appear that it would be coming soon. If this was an honest establishment, perhaps we should have been informed realistically at the beginning that we would not get it before September 2021 and for us to not place an order at all. Additionally, how can an owner disregard their own staff members agreement with the customer regarding the colors not being the same? In conclusion, there is no resolution with BadCo. I stand firm that you should support another local honest and...
Read moreIf I could leave a 0 star rating I would! I was going to purchase a dining room set that was clearly listed as a table with six chairs for $279. When I called to verify, I was told it did not include the chairs, even though the listing clearly stated otherwise. I asked for a manager, but was told none was available and to call back. After calling back multiple times with no answer, the listing was suddenly deleted and relisted for $999.
I still have the set in my cart at the original $279 and have screenshots to prove it. Normally I wouldn’t be this frustrated, but it’s the principle — I was lied to in order to prevent me from placing the order, which feels very intentional.
As a business owner myself, I find this behavior unacceptable and unprofessional. At the very least, they should honor the original listed price and treat customers with honesty and respect.
Edit (in response to the owner’s reply): I want to make it very clear that we have not harassed this business, nor will we be calling them again. We only called back because we were specifically instructed to do so in order to speak with a manager, who was supposedly the owner. We were told he was at lunch and to call back after, but every time we did, he was supposedly still at lunch. I am not sure how long lunch takes, but I never knew it could take the entire day. To ensure fairness, we even sent an email asking for clarity, but never received a response.
I was actually told by one of your employees not to place the order, and within 10 minutes of that phone call the $279 listing was removed and then relisted at $999. That is not a draft error. I still have screenshots showing the full set in my shopping cart at the original price, proving it was available for purchase. My attached photos clearly show and validate my review.
What is comical is that the business only chose to respond once this issue was reported to Google, instead of handling it directly with the customer. If this truly was a human error, professionalism would have meant communicating it honestly rather than dodging calls and making false accusations.
Also, yes, my name is Joseph. I clearly stated that in both my email and my phone call, so I am not sure what the confusion is or why there was an attack on my name. That accusation is completely baseless and ridiculous. To accuse me of being a scammer simply for pointing out a misleading listing is unacceptable. For the record, we will not be calling this misleading business again. My review reflects my actual experience and is meant to warn other customers about the lack of honesty, transparency, and respect in how this company...
Read moreWe've had our couches for about a year now and a half now. The quality is not the best. It sucks actually. Ours are the very first picture you see (the brown sectional with ottoman) how funny is that. We paid $550 for this. It was delivered in boxes and we spent 2-3 hours putting them together. The cushions all have zippers which makes it appear that you can take the fabric-like material off and wash them. This is not the case. They are sewed into the cushions. Also they are very uncomfortable. Oh and don't ever try to sleep on this set. There are pieces of wood that are placed uneven, and there are not enough to keep the cushions from sleeping. The arm rest broke on us within the first week. No reason to return them, if you do you forfeit 60% of your total as a restocking fee. The warehouse looks like they have superior quality furniture but they are very misleading! Bottom line is they suck and are cheaply made in another country. Don't waste your money. Go to Becks, or some other store known for...
