Gaby's Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Saddle Brook

I just ordered from Gaby's Pizza for the first time and I was very pleased. I called to place my order for a large cheese pie, half olives & onions. 10 minutes later I called back to add 2 cans of ginger ale. My order arrived much faster than expected but without the soda. No big deal, I didn't ask for them when I placed my original order The pizza was excellent! I love a thin crispy crust and the proportions of cheese to sauce was perfect and the toppings were added in generous amounts. Really the best pizza I've had in a while.

Even more impressive however, was the fact that about 10 minutes after receiving the pie the delivery person came back with 2 complimentary cans of ginger ale! I hadn't made an issue about the soda or asked for them to be brought to me. This was initiated entirely by someone at Gaby's! Anyone can slip up and make a mistake (and this one wasn't even their fault entirely - again, I didn't ask for soda on my original phone call). It's how a person or a company reacts after learning a mistake has been made that shows you what they're made of. Gaby's is made of the right stuff. They went above and beyond what they had to do - unasked - in order to make things right.

I’ve ordered from here many times, but haven’t taken the time to review. I am as unbiased and objective as it gets. It’s easy to find good pizza in the area, but not easy to find excellent pizza. This place not only has excellent pizza which is thinner crust and crispier. The prices are perfect. You MUST try anything vodka sauce from here. I read some of the negative reviews, one said “I grew up in an Italian household...bla bla”...that reviewer clearly had no clue what he was talking about. If you’re Italian, you know that the vodka sauce here is incredible. Anytime you see a pizza place with fresh mozzarella sitting in the cooler, you’re going to enjoy some legit food. The owner is another one to rave about. You walk in and you feel welcome. He will spend an hour talking to you if you have the time, all while cranking out order after order. I ordered an XL meat lovers with chicken pie, XL penne vodka pie and chicken bacon ranch with tomato sauce base and ranch drizzled over the pie. Penne vodka pie was ok, was lacking serious flavor but the thin crust was a nice touch. Unfortunately they fused the tomato sauce and ranch in the base of the pie and I wasn’t provided with ranch drizzle on top. Called the store to explain the error and all they did was apologize. Pizza had a odd flavor with 2 sauces infused. Meat lovers was good and the thin crust was a nice touch. Also ordered a piece of Oreo cake that was super delicious! Definitely recommend the cake.
