I have been going to Midland Bagel since it was called Gus's... so yeah, a long time. I've always had a great experience there with service and food. Until today. With a family member being sick, i ordered thru Uber Eats. The delivery service was fast and friendly. The food was not. I ordered a bacon, egg, and provolone with avocado... and getting those last 2 add-ons cost extra. Im allergic to the dye in yellow cheese, so paying extra not to be hospitalized is ok by me. I get the order, and if you guessed I got american cheese and no avocado, you are having more luck today than me. So yeah, i was annoyed. I called Midland Bagel to tell them of their mix up and ask that the sandwich i actually ordered be made. The rude girl that everyone despises was the person who answered the phone. I have NEVER had any issue with any of the guys that work there. But today was not my day at all because i get the rude girl. She tells me there is nothing they can do about the sandwich except give me a refund, which i won't get until tuesday or i can come down and get the sandwich.... wait, what??? I just paid a service to bring me the food, and now i have to come down anyway? Now im fuming. So i get there, and she has this smug little smile on her face, and she hands me a bag. Shes like, "Here's your sandwich"... ahhhh no. You're gonna make me a new one right here infront of me so i can atleast enjoy a hot sandwich. This girl is THE WORST. I have avoided even being served by her in person by letting others go ahead of me because of her attitude. And after reading the comments, hahaha yeah the owner was " out of the country" but would be back Tuesday. Such a shame that he has that nasty individual ruining his business. Last time i will ever go there. They just...
Read moreI love this place. I frequently stop here on my commute to work. Amazing bagels. Fantastic sandwiches. I’ve been coming to this place for years. The wait for your food doesn’t usually take too long but remember what you ask for is made to order so allocate yourself a few extra minutes for it to be prepared. Good drink selection in the coolers. Fresh delicious coffee. A great cold case selection of macaroni salad and similar items. On a cold rainy workday morning the place can fill up inside and have 30+ people waiting for their ordered food.
I’ve been going here for years and I will continue to do so. I’ve turned some of my friend onto this place and they will drive the extra 15 minutes out of their way to stop here for their morning hookup of deliciousness.
The only thing I have negative to say about this place which I can’t even consider a negative because places like that don’t exist outside of fast food chains is I WISH THEY HAD A PRE ORDER MOBILE SYSTEM AND DRIVE THROUGH PICKUP WINDOW!
There is something for everyone here. Nobody will leave displeased and IF..... and that’s a big IF... you are they will remedy the problem to the best of their ability...
Read moreSave your hard earned money! I made the mistake of ordering a breakfast sandwich yesterday. I bit into it within a minute of the girl handing it to me. How can it possibly be room temperature?! A toasted bagel with eggs and bacon? I didn't watch their operation but I have to assume they pre-cook the eggs and throw them on a bagel as they are ordered. There's no possible way an egg that was cooked on a griddle can be room temperature within a minute of being cooked.
Fine, that's how you guys choose to run your business. That's not even why I am writing. What happens next is unacceptable and frankly stupid. I ask the girl to heat up my sandwich. She looks at me like I have two heads, and reluctantly takes it back. Before I can finish reading a text message she hands it back, steaming hot. Can anyone guess the method she chose to heat my bagel? A MICROWAVE! Please, next time just spit in the bagel and hand it back. It would be a better solution.
I called to talk to a manager or owner after this. Guess who doesn't have a manager or owner on premise...This is what happens when you have 5 high school kid's running your business and no...
