We've been going to Levi's for many, many years. The food is excellent, hearty portions, and priced affordably. Through the years there have been slight menu changes and slight price increases, but food quality and quantity never changed. Tonight, we experienced a very different situation. When calling in the order (we usually do pick up), the woman on the phone was not the usual happy voice we hear on the other end. It was short and hurried, trying to figure out how to make our usual order fit the new menu, and our order was taken down wrong. The individual nachos that I've ordered many times before, had maybe a quarter of the cheese they normally do and more than half of my chips didn't have toppings. The chicken strips are no longer beer battered (which was Levi's signature batter=AMAZING). They're now covered in a cheap crunchy coating, they were dry, and the price went up because they decided to add an extra side to the order. The price doesn't change though if you don't want the extra side. Lastly, they no longer have their build a burger. You have to pick from a list of burgers which don't list the toppings on them on the menu. We also got less than half the fries we usually do, for a higher priced burger (the burger itself was about the same). I'm not sure why there's been so many changes, but we may not be sticking around much longer to find out what happens next. We wasn’t sure what we wanted so when the waitress came, she seem like she was in a hurry or felt like she was rushing us, but we ordered the spaghetti and I forgot to add my appetizer, so I walked up to the front to add it, but I wasn’t sure what it was called so I said it had cheese in it, so when the waitress brought it to us, it wasn’t the right one. So I kindly asked the waitress can I switch it to a different appetizer or can they just take it off the order? And it seem like she wasn’t caring about what I wanted she wasn’t even trying to fix the situation, but the manager came to the table and the manager was even worse she was rude and told me I ordered it and that’s what I’m going to pay for she didn’t tried to help the situation. She could have at least allow me to change it or apologize about the misunderstanding but she didn’t and I payed for something I didn’t want . It really hurt my feelings , because I always come here with my children. I will never come back here again. I lost all respect for this place, She was very mean about it. My advice for anyone thats reading this do not order something If you’re not sure about it, they will not give you your money back nor switch it out or try to fix the situation so be sure what you want before...
Read moreHonestly, I never really cared for the food here until recently. I don't like instant boxed, no seasoning food, reminds me to much of hospital food. I have been an employee here for about a month now & let me tell you I've gained 10 pounds already! I've been trying a new item every time I work, and I have yet to find something I wouldn't order again! I understand for some people a menu change of a favorite item may determine rather you eat at a place anymore or not, but instead of bashing a new owner for "making it HER OWN restaurant" just ask if you could have it made your way instead of the new way! Susan is by far one of the most caring, understanding bosses I've ever had! She works with people and goes above and beyond to satisfy any customer as long as it's brought to her attention. So let's all pull together and keep Levi's a staple in saginaw as it has always been. Sometimes change is good. Let's stay positive and continue to support local!
