I visited this Wendy's February 13th, right before the snow storm. I was so excited to get my favorite salad, the Parmesan Cesare Salad, mind you, I have had this salad multiple times beforehand. I get the salad home, i begin going through the lettuce as I do with every salad and I noticed that the cheese did not smell good. I can only describe the smell as being extremely foul and pungent, like milk that has long been soured. It was soggy, pure white almost, and the taste (by accident) was horrible, I immediately retched in disgust, spit it out and had to rinse the taste from my mouth. I called and let the manager on duty know how I could not eat this salad because of the cheese being sour or rancid. (The cheese in this salad is a blend of three cheeses, Parmesan, Asiago and Romano.) Araceli, who was acting as manager at the time was so apologetic about the cheese, she assured me they would be looking at the cheese and or throwing out the remaining, seeing as by this point I'm also concerned with people getting sick from this. She offered me a new salad the next day since they would be closing soon, I agreed. Unfortunately I was not able to get the salad because of the storm. Fast forward to yesterday, I decided I wanted to to give the salad another try. I get the salad home, and as I take the lid off the salad the same foul and pungent smell hits me. I get to inspecting and to my disbelief this cheese was exactly the same. Smell, and texture, I was definitely not going to ingest it this time. I called and talk to Araceli again, I am explaining to her the issue but her response this time is extremely rude. She begins to argue that the cheese is supposed to be that way. I try telling her that I have had this salad before and it is most definitely NOT supposed to be like that, but she continues her argument. She goes on by informing me that she is smelling the cheese right now and it smells fine, she also tells me she's sorry that it doesn't agree with my palate. At this point I'm livid, I call corporate to notify them, the lady I spoke with was so nice, very apologetic and even agreed the cheese shouldn't be that way. I recieved a call this morning from the general manager of this particular Wendy's (I'm in such disbelief still that I can't remember her name). When I expressed my concerns about the cheese, once again I'm told that the cheese is is supposed to be that way and that Wendy's just changed to a three cheese blend and the blend includes a smellier cheese. However it's always been a three cheese blend, and it has never smelled foul before. I found it odd that corporate wouldn't notify me at the time of my call that they just recently changed cheeses, or that the cheese is supposed to taste and smell awful. I've spent 20 dollars now (the combo after tax) on rotten food I couldn't eat, both times I've had to go...
Read moreWell since my last bad experience with another location I decided to try this location again in Saginaw which I have tried numerous times. Well no more. Dave Thomas must be rolling in his grave at the condition of Wendy’s it has become. I went yesterday and got the 1cent Jr Bacon cheeseburger in the app on my cellphone. Personally I felt this was a total gimmick. I ordered also small fries and medium size cold drink. It still came to $5.29. This is way over priced. I could have got the cold drink at QT for $1.71 for a double large one and a small fries for $2.15 at McDonald’s in Lake Worth. The food although edible was way below anyone’s standards for a good burger. The bun was cold. It was also not plumped up like in their picture. The fries were not good at all. Also I made the order on my app in the restaurant and got it in 5 minutes. Ain’t no way you can make it in 5 minutes and be fresh. I used to go all the time when Wendy’s had a salad bar where you made your own salad. When they stopped and you had to get there prepared salads I tried but when I expect avocado’s and they have guacamole instead I stoped getting them. Yes I know it’s made from avocados but it’s like you want an apple and get applesauce. This place was open yesterday but is closed most of the time inside and you have to go thru the drive thru. I am thru trying Wendy’s and will be deleting my profile on the app and then deleting Wendy’s app. Everything is just not the same as it used to be years ago. I am narrowing down my choices of fast food restaurants. I value a strong work ethic and performance of employees balanced with the cost of living and it’s hard to find it. I have tried other various Wendy’s too and this sadly...
Read moreStopped this evening to get dinner for my 2 young kids and my elderly mother. I ordered her a JR Bacon Cheeseburger with bacon, cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickle and onion. Ordered 2 kids meals both with plain hamburgers and a 10 piece chicken nugget. After I paid and sat there waiting for the order at the window, I noticed on the receipt that the kids meals both said plain cheeseburgers. When I finally received our food after about 5 minutes, I asked the man at the window about the receipt saying plain cheeseburgers and if they would be plain hamburgers. He said probably have cheese. I asked he exchange them for the plain hamburgers I ordered. He grabbed the bags and started speaking to other employees in Spanish. A couple minutes later he handed me my two bags and said here are your plain hamburgers, stressing the “plain hamburgers”. I get home and open the food for my kids and they both had cheese on them still. My children cannot have cheese which is why I ordered plain hamburgers. I had to peel the cheese off and then wash it under water to get the dairy off for them to eat because I really could not load them back up in the car to drive all the way back to exchange them a second time. My elderly mother opened her bacon cheeseburger and it was a plain cheeseburger, no bacon and no condiments. Paid for bacon cheese burger and did not receive it. I tried calling 3 times in the past 30 minutes to speak with a manager and no one is answering the phone. I have always seen on social media how horrible the Wendy’s in Saginaw is and I can no vouch for them being horrible as well. What a...
