Allin's Diner — Restaurant in Saint Charles

Very disappointed, I come to Allin's diner often. Never have I had as problem. But today it was not. My daughter's hash browns came out burned (black) on top and under cooked on the bottom. So we sent them back. My quesadilla was not cooked with all the ingredients that are on the menu. So I talk to Penny who is new and she discussed it with the other server which who was the one that took the order. Brooklyn had the attitude that she reaslly did not care. I over heard her tell Penny the cooks were being rushed. Really? By who? You brought out my daughter's food the first time and I never got my food. They remade my daughter's food and I still did not have my food. So who was being rushed? My food was deliver wrong and they made my daughter's food twice before I got it so I think they had enough time to make my food right. I won't be back for a while. First of all, let me say our server, Morgan, is the BOMB!! While the restaurant isn't very spacious, Morgan was kicking butt and taking names! Great server!! We stopped by Tuesday morning and were lucky enough to find a table. The place was packed, and I'd read the reviews, so I hoped I had found a great place for breakfast!

It was delicious. The menu is extensive, offering something for everyone! I ordered half French toast and asked for extra crispy hash browns with onions. Perfection. Mom had biscuits, eggs, and said the eggs were cooked exactly to her liking. Our friend had a breakfast quesadilla and loved it! The portions were ample and despite how busy the diner was, our food was served quickly!

Morgan kept our drinks full (a big deal forus) and was very friendly. We felt like regulars! Can't wait to visit again on our next trip to...

Ordered a half omelette with Andouille sausage, sharp cheddar, and onions; and hashbrowns with onions. This is the first time in recent memory that I've gotten "enough" onions when I've ordered onions in some breakfast item. Good rule of thumb - order it normal the first time, then say "extra onions" if you need to. If I'd said "extra onions" here I'd have regretted it. I had to order a "half" omelette because I came to find out that a "normal" size omelette contains six eggs. On what planet . . . Some day I will have to try their "Slinger" which consists of "Hash Browns, Eggs, covered in Dave's Famous Chili, Cheddar Cheese & Onions."
