Emily's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

After many years of going to this establishment, I have finally had enough. His food is mediocre at best and very pricey. The reason myself and family and friends have and will stop patronizing Sam's place is because of the way he bad mouths a fellow business owner that happens to be right down the street. I always thought the families were related, and I found out they aren't. The sad thing for me and everyone we know, is that we all patronize the business down the street for years, as they too have been open for decades and have a stellar reputation. My son went in there recently, and he overheard Sam talking about that family, and he left there disgusted. When he came back home he said "dad I'm never going back there again. I can't believe how he talks about the ___family" The things he was saying apparently he has said to many others. SHAME ON YOU EMILY'S YOU ARE DISGRACEFUL. And do yourself a favor Sam...put your damn roll of money away and stop showing off. No one wants to see your money and hear about what you have. No one cares!!!!!! Grow up and keep your mouth shut before you get sued for slander. The only reason I even gave you ONE STAR, is because I was not able to post this without it. You don't deserve even that. Been getting food at Emily's practically my whole life and I have to say it's very disappointing now. The prices have gone way up while the portions have gotten smaller. I noticed that the chicken in the chicken pies is now chunks of chicken breast instead of ground chicken. My daughter has food allergies so I called to ask if the other ingredients were the same and Sammy proceeded to tell me that the chicken is exactly the same and I am wrong. He was very condescending and rude! It doesn't take a professional chef to know the difference between ground chicken and chunks of chicken breast. Unfortunately since he lies, and says he hasn't changed anything in 43 years, I can no longer trust the ingredients listed. Unbelievably rude. Parents recommended the place. Personally a fan of Lebanese food and have traveled the globe. Told the guy I had never been there but it was highly recommended.. so I was in the middle ordering and asking questions on what they had. (Specifically what size are the meat pies and is the kibbeh baked or fried) These famous meat pies are in the back so you cannot see them. Seems to me a guy would ask a question. So half way through my order another customer came in and he said I will be with you in a minute you ask too many questions. Two questions! Wow! Truthfully never had such a poor experience. I'm sure their food is good but I walked out to take my business where it will be valued and you should too. There are literally 100s of choices for Lebanese food...
