I see they got a bad review with one star from for years ago and I haven’t seen one star since then so I think a bad review from that long ago should be erased. I am going there today for lunch and I will give it a current rating. Many of my friends hold their Christmas parties here and think it is a wonderful place to greet friends during the holidays. I do know it’s a little pricey but that’s what you pay for going to somewhere unique. I will follow up with my own review iN a few hours
So very disappointed. It was still a unique experience seeing all the Christmas decorations as they are lavish an extremely detailed which makes the walk in impressive, but the food was below par. My friend and I both ordered the Maurice salad and neither of us thought it very tasty. The waitress brought a dessert tray to the table next to us with exquisite looking desserts but the customer noticed that one of the strawberries was covered in mold. I looked up and from a table away I could see that the strawberry was moldy and immediately the server said ,” well this is just the tray to show but not for the actual desert you will get “. I’m sorry but if that would’ve come to my table I definitely would have been turned off in ordering a dessert. I was hoping to give this a great review as I like to support restaurants and businesses in our city, but I’m afraid the only great review would be on their Christmas Decour. I do want to say that our waitress was extremely Nice and came back several times to see if we needed anything else. I guess it was just a bad day for...
Read moreI used to go here with my grandmother regularly when it was still the Victorian Place and we loved it. Many fond memories. Now, the food is bland, staff is rude and non-responsive and it is ridiculously overpriced.
HOWEVER the main reason I will not give this place another chance is that the owners were extremely rude to my mother when she arrived to inquire about booking 2 wedding showers. She was refused help, ignored, and when she went looking for someone and peeked around a corner, one of the owners confronted and barked at her, "Excuse me can you SEE we are TRYING to have an event here?!" Bad move, guys. Nobody treats my mother that way. You lost out on thousands of dollars of business with that one rude comment...times two. Actually times more than that, because I'm never recommending this place to anyone so long as the current ownership holds.
Thanks for removing 20 years of fond memories from that beautiful building, and way to treat your community. You might hold out as a business by milking one-time stoppers for all you can, but that won't last...
Read moreI just completed a secret proposal/ party at the Ardmore, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The venue was perfect for it!! The rouse was that it was a family Christmas dinner, but all our other family and friend's were behind the curtain in the adjoining room. They let us bring instruments and perform to bring her into the other room! After the proposal, the Food and Drinks were absolutely top notch! We had the salmon and steak, both were absolutely fanyastic!!Desert was a cheesecake for me and it was amazing as well! Emily is one of the new owners, right from the start she went above and beyond to help me plan out the evening! She is so friendly and energetic! Her wine taste is exceptional as well, she helped us pick the perfect toast wine! She called and touched base with me regularly and was flexible where needed! I really could not have asked for anything more 10/10 for food, 11/10 for customer service, 10/10 for beautiful Victorian venue/ atmosphere. Very grateful for all the help and the amazing...
